The flat is very clean, well appointed and comfortable. It was lovely to receive the biscuits put out for us on arrival. We were a 5 minute walk to the BEST restaurant/pub in town. We walked downtown and to several local hikes. I can highly recommend this apartment.
Nice property 10 mins walk to centre of town. 3 things it lacked:Egg cups, a tray to carry items from kitchen to dining area in lounge and a slip mat in the bath. Otherwise very well equipped.
Lovely location. We found it a little difficult to find on Google maps, but the owner gave Excellent detailed instructions in a message.
Spacious! Clean! And the bedroom blackout curtains are truly blackout. We slept well.
Lovely ground floor apartment with lots of room for a couple. Clean and modern. Firm bed. Plenty of heat and hot water. Bay windows in living/dining room face south. So close to downtown Keswick without any parking or traffic hassles. Lovely walk into town along the river. Pub up the road (The Pheasant) was the best we found out of a dozen or so, make reservations!
Bad smell in bathroom , road outside was very dangerous to cross , nowhere to sit in front garden , garden needed attention back and front .

We’re grateful that the concerns over a smell in the bathroom have been brought to our attention and we will obviously investigate immediately. The road is a residential road in Keswick, not a trunk or A road; the family next door includes 10 year old children who cross the road daily without adult supervision .We have never considered crossing the road as dangerous but normal care should be taken. Our listing doesn’t state or imply that there are facilities for ‘sitting’ out in the front garden so we’re a little confused about this comment. The front and rear gardens are primarily laid to lawn, they are mowed every two weeks but we will certainly consider doing so weekly during the summer season when grass growth is at its fastest, thanks again for the feedback.
Property was mostly as listed. Very convenient to Fitz Park and short walk to town square through nice park with views of the Greta River. Sofa is beginning to show its wear and dining chairs not as pictured. Can’t imagine sitting in the front garden (no chairs and rubbish bins are stored there). Property was very clean and kitchen has everything needed. There is a parking space in rear. For the rate charged it is overall very fair location is great.
Perfect location for the best place in the Lake District. Every time I visit I find something I’ve not seen/ done before.
This property had everything I needed.
The owner responded quickly to queries before my stay and was very helpful..
The only thing I’d say it lacked was a few chairs outside or a bench but overall a great base to visit many places on foot. It took a 10 minute walk across the main road through Fitz Park, which is lovely, alongside the river Greta, to get to the centre of Keswick. The market was great too (Thursday & Saturday)
I took an early drive to Hawes End (the jetty and lake shore were just idyllic-9am and not a soul in sight, so peaceful and amazing scenery) and parked my car on the road then climbed Catbells, which in my opinion is not an easy climb in places!!! Latrigg is another great walk too, well worth the effort. The views over Keswick and Derwentwater were fabulous. Castlerigg stone circle is definitely worth a visit also.
I had the most amazing weather too so was not disappointed!!
A great 4 days away, I packed so much in but there’s still plenty to see and do next time!
I’ll be back!!
Good experience, ground floor flat, ideal for a couple. We found it good for us to go walking in the lakes. instruction pack useful for figuring out oven, which was a bit fierce! Bed is firm and it has a metal frame which was a bit squeaky! Host was great at responding when we had a issue with the shower. Think 4 would be a squeeze for more than a day or so as it's a sofa bed in the lounge but ideal for 2. Quick walk into town and all the things you need. Parking behind the house which was handy, you may need a light/phone torch if arriving in the dark as entrance is through the garden. Clean and tidy, good place to stay.
Lovely ground floor apartment contains everything you might need for self catering, would benefit if books detailing local area were provided, welcome pack very much appreciated, but garden certainly needs a good tidy, remove scaffolding and debris post new window installation, first impressions and all that..
We enjoyed our stay in Keswick, especially as the weather was superb and the location was extremely good for access to the Keswick Bible convention and the town centre. The flat was as described, but we felt that some extra furnishings and care for detail would have made it a higher rating.
The living room was well equipped, but needed a stronger light. The sash windows were difficult to open. Some books and maps of the area would make it more inviting.
A chair in the bedroom would be useful. Although the mattress was comfortable, the bed frame creaked noisily.
In the bathroom, safety could be enhanced and comfort increased with a non-slip mat in the bath, and a handrail for stepping out of the bath after a shower.
The front window overlooked a lawn which was rather neglected, and the hedge on the side of the path up to the house needed some pruning so that guests can walk on the path.
On the positive side, thank you for the milk and biscuits in the kitchen.
We wondered if the owner lived upstairs ... when we inadvertently set off the fire alarm (symbols on oven faded, and did not match the manual so had to guess at the setting) someone came downstairs and knew what to do!
Although the exteria could do with a lick of paint, the interior was very good. The amenities were ideal for a Keswick stay. Location was excellent, just a short walk through Fitz Park to the town centre. Would definitely stay again.
