Stunning private villa with extensive gardens backing onto canal du midi .AC

Original family home set in mature gardens with private pool and outdoor kitchen/ BBQ area.This was home to our family from 2007-2010,while we took a three year break to live in France.Full air conditioning installed for 2022.There is a bright open plan living room -dining area,which leads onto a study.A fully equipped kitchen ,with three bedrooms(one of which is ensuite) and a separate shower room/wc provides modern single storey accommodation.
There is an additional covered relaxation area in the garden,with multiple covered terraces.Outdoor kitchen has a pizza oven with further covered eating area.Beautiful mature garden with direct access to canal.

We really enjoyed our stay at the house. The pool was lovely and a good size. Garden is huge with a few nice shaded seating areas. Owners very helpful with any queries. Lots to see in area and beaches not too far. Would recommend.

The villa was brilliant, the grounds were stunning, the view amazing and it was located in a lovely village with plenty of amenities within close proximity. The pool and house were clean and well cared for and the host was more than accommodating helping to resolve any issues we had. Lovely place to stay with friends

A lovely place to stay and catch up with friends. It’s a 5 minute walk into town with 3 restaurants and a little shop that stocks a wide variety of food and drink. There are some nice walks locally and the pool is great to cool off in. There are plenty of living areas and a bbq. Beziers is 20 minutes away with markets and plenty more shopping options. We really enjoyed out time there.

Fabulous Holiday

A wonderful house in a lovely village. Amazing views and grounds, relaxing location, pool was great, air-conditioning very welcome. Superb, friendly restaurant in the village (la tour sarassine) and very good location for exploring from. Kids and dog loved it too. Grainne made it a very simple process, very communicative. Only downside was the mosquitos!

Wonderful family holiday

The villa was perfect for our family. Well positioned to sightsee in the area and with great quality local restaurants in the small village it allowed us freedom to eat out without anyone having to drive. The pool was a wonderful size and a great temperature, it was a godsend with the very high temperatures we had whilst there. The view is beautiful and the surroundings quiet, just what we like. The gardens and outside areas are kept beautifully. The villa is well equipped and spacious, clean and well kept, We can't fault it. The air conditioning worked well and was needed as it was 42 degrees some days we were there. The property manager was extremely courteous and helpful as were the owners. We wholeheartedly recommend this place and would definitely book again.

Peaceful villa by the Canal Du Midi in beautiful village of Poilhes

Functional house with great pool, large garden with beautiful views and view over the Canal Du Midi. Charming and peaceful summarizes our week stay. ~7 minutes drive to medieval city of Capestan and supermarkets. A drive away from so many Occitanie’s historical wonders. Plenty of opportunities for bicycling around a great country side and things to see. A lovely and delicious French cuisine restaurant called La Tour Sarrasine in the heart of Poilhes only a walk away, by the canal. A few things to be prepared for: with the canal near by use the citronella candles and mostiquo products provided in the house for outdoor dining in the evening. And the wifi was spotty every now and then. Sarah was very helpful in problem solving and answering our questions. All in all a lovely week. Thank you.

Cette location mĂ©rite le dĂ©tour. La maison est trĂšs agrĂ©able, belle terrasse sur une trĂšs belle vue dĂ©gagĂ©e. On voit jusqu’à l’observatoire de Narbonne. La piscine est propre et chaude. Le jardin trĂšs bien entretenu est immense. Sarah qui s’occupe de la location est toujours disponible et Ă  l’écoute. Nous sommes arrivĂ©s un dimanche soir et nous avons trouvĂ© dans le rĂ©frigĂ©rateur de quoi nous restaurer et aussi de quoi dĂ©guster des vins de la rĂ©gion, trĂšs sympathique attention. Wonderful property in beautiful area

We had a fantastic stay in Grainne's villa. Comfortable, well equipped with a gorgeous pool and garden. The generous welcome pack made a huge positive first impression and we felt very fortunate to be in such a beautiful setting. Poilhes is very cute, with some great restaurants and nearby Capestang has everything you need, including some wonderful wine from Moulin Gimie. The location is great for beaches and inland visits. There is so much to see and do within a short drive. Thanks also to Sarah and Julie for looking after us, and the property, so well.

Owners of this villa since 2003.Extended original house and gardens,with creation of outdoor dining area and covered relaxation area,while we lived here full time over a four year period.
Choose the Languedoc area due to the understated richness of this area for nature,national parks and activities.Love the fact that you can be hiking in the national park or relaxing on the beach ,within 25 minutes travel from Poilhes.It was important for us to choose a village where we could integrate fully and we have made wonderful friends and neighbours during our time in Poilhes.
Extremely lucky in that we have three local restaurants and a Vinauberge all within walking distance.Likewise straight out through the gate we can be cycling ,walking or running along the canal path ,either towards Capestang or Beziers.

With such a wonderful climate having a good garden to enjoy it in was important to us.
