Great 4 bedroom duplex in the fantastic Gilmafacho complex with 2 balconies, offering privileged views over the sea and also over one of the 3 pools.

The apartment benefits of airy and spacious areas, providing a relaxing environment during your stay. The lounge comes with comfortable seating, cable TV, free Wi-Fi and even a games console with games.

The dining area is bright with a view over one of the balconies.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all you need to prepare nice homemade meals, including an airfryer, great for making delicious meals in the least amount of time.

Two of the bedrooms have a king-sized bed, bedroom 3 has twin beds, one of them with a pull-out bed underneath and bedroom 4 has a high quality double sofa-bed. Bedroom 4 can also be used as an office during the day as it has a work space with desk and chair. The property can sleep up to 8 people in all comfort.

If you bring a baby, a highchair and travel cot is available for hire. Please contact us for more information.

There are 2 bathrooms, both have a bath and shower over. There is also a separate WC room.

2 lovely balconies offer views over the sea and pool and there is a small portable barbecue for your private use.

The complex itself boasts of beautiful shared gardens and a variety of free activities on-site such as 3 large pools, child's pool, tennis court, mini-golf, squash court, and games room, equipped with table tennis, a pool table and wireless internet access, which also reaches the second pool area. The complex also offers communal sun-loungers around all 3 pools.

The complex is located about 1 km from the beach but due to its elevated position, a car might be recommended.

São Martinho is a beautiful small village, with a shell shaped bay. Due to its particular shape, the bay is the ideal beach for families with small children, as the strong sea current characteristic of the Atlantic ocean is not present here.

Throughout the sea front there are lovely restaurants, where you can delight yourself with delicious Portuguese food, nice cafés and bars.
Just a stroll away along the coast line and you'll find Salir do Porto River beach, which has the river streaming to the ocean and is also perfect for families due to its calm waters.

A room with a view

Spacious. clean, duplex located in a great complex with good facilities. Enjoyable to eat your breakfast in the sun looking out at the sea. Location is on a headland with great views, steep walk into the resort. The only negative was the double and sofa bed mattresses that were very hard and need to be replaced. Despite that would recommend the property.

'The Ship' as our appartment is called is a great place to stay. Four big bedrooms, a well equipt kitchen and living and dining area and two terrasses. Beautiful placed on a klif. The walk into town is a steep one but pleasant. However when you aren't a walker it is nessesary to rent a car. Because of the fog everything was a bit damp and the beds were really hard but we managed to have a very nice stay. Customer service was very good, the pools very nice and clean. Many great place to visit in the surroundings; Nazaré, Obidos, Alcobaca, Lisbon, Sintra, Fatima etc. And in the village of Sao Martinho there's a great Gelatomania! We would recommend this place sincerely!

Our stay here has been fantastic! The oweners could not have been more accommodating: we checked in early, the flat was impeccably clean, the location is fantastic and has the best view in Sao Martinho and the facilities are brilliant. You have everything you need in the flat and it is so big that it feels like a house rather than a flat. The property was more than enough for 8 people, really spatious and the grounds were well kept and kept us all entertained. The property is 10 mins away from the centre of town and we enjoyed the walk down after eating so many lovely Portuguese pastries. The views are outsnading and the 2 terraces help you make the most of it. The swimming pools are lit up at night as well which is great as you can use them at any time.. overall we could not fault this place, great value for money and we would definitely book it again!! The pictures don't do this place justice!

Wunderschöner, vielseitiger Standort!

Tolle Anlage, netter Hausmeister, Wohnung schön, Bäder und Küche sollten jedoch renoviert werden. Ausstattung gut, Grundsachen wie Abwaschlappen, Spülmittel , Salz, Pfeffer fehlten jedoch. Trotzdem sehr zu empfehlen. Danke!!!

This property is in decline. Community games room not useable. Missing items like pool cues, golf club and balls for mini golf. I would not rent this property without access to a vehicle , too exhausting to travel down to the beach more than once a day.

Review of Ship Apartment

This was a lovely property that met our needs during our stay, it was in a great location with a superb view, lots of facilities on site. A couple of areas that could be improved: The apartment could do with a bit of TLC. A number of shutters in the bedrooms are broke and need fixing. There was a smell of damp which indicates a previous flooding issue but none of this caused an issue with our stay, Would use again and recommend.
