The Space:
Burns Yard has style and class in abundance. This quirky holiday home is based across three floors and you’ll be wowed by the modern interiors.
As you walk into the hallway, head straight up the stairs and you’ll find the bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. The bedroom is a clean and bright space featuring a large, extravagant bed and contemporary lights which hang above marble bedside tables. Dark wooden beams contrast perfectly with the white walls and grey colour scheme. A floor length gold mirror and blue suede chair complete the room and add even more glamour.
In the bathroom you’ll find grey patterned tiles and sleek silver hardware. The room features a spacious walk in shower and a white, gloss vanity cabinet.
Head up the stairs again to the second floor and you’ll discover the open plan kitchen and living area. Wow! With sloping ceilings and breath-taking views of Whitby and the Abbey, this space is very impressive. The dark blue kitchen creates a cosy feel which contrasts beautifully with the clean, white walls. You’ll have everything you need for your stay as the kitchen is equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge and dishwasher.
Relax on the eclectic, velvet sofa with a book or switch on the flat screen TV to catch up on your favourite shows.
Enjoy meals at the marble dining table – whether it’s breakfast after a lazy morning or an evening dinner with your loved one. You can open up the window completely and let the heat drift in during the summer months.

The Neighborhood:
Burns Yard is located in the iconic Flowergate – one of the oldest and most historic streets in Whitby. You’ll find cosy cafes, restaurants and shops lining the street, so the apartment is ideally located. The Blue Flag West Cliff beach and promenade is just a short 5-minute walk from the property. On Pier Road, you’ll find fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants where you can sample the catch of the day. The other side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques and pubs. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’. Step outside of Whitby and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. Whitby forms part of the North York Moors National Park so it’s the perfect place for long walks.
Getting Around:
Burns Yard is located in the centre of Whitby so the town can easily be explored on foot. Whitby train station is just a short 5-minute walk away so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail. There’s also a taxi rank in close proximity to the train station. There are plenty of bus routes throughout Whitby. Hop on the X4 and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Sandsend, Runswick Bay and Staithes. The X93 travels along the coast to Scarborough. The 95 route features plenty of quaint villages, such as Grosmont and Lealholm.

Really lovely property, the views from the living area of the abbey is amazing. Good selection of pots and pans available. The location is fabulous and it was really quiet at night time. No grassed area outside for pups that will only wee on grass, there is a little park just a few minutes walk away though.The general cleanliness was great apart from the bedroom needed a good hoover in the corners.Had a lovely stay and would stay there again.

We enjoyed our two night stay- fab location. A bit disappointed to arrive to a full dirty dishwasher and dirty toilet. A pint of milk would have been appreciated after a long journey. That said the apartment was well equipped and delightful views.

Lovely tastefully decorated compact apartment made extra special by the bifold window which gives spectacular views across the rooftops to the harbour and Abbey Would highly recommend
As with other review comments don’t be put off by the entrance area , the apartment itself is great but not suitable for people with mobility issues due to the steep stairs

Had a great stay. Location was amazing, right in the centre of Whitby. Nice pub directly opposite but didn't hear any noise or disturbance. Lovely apartment although lots of stairs inside so not suitable for some people. Fabulous view from the upstairs window.
