What a beautiful and well maintained property in a great area. We took a train to Rome to see some of the famous sights, chilled out by the the pool and soaked up the wonderful local towns rich in history and excellent restaurants.

4th year in a row our family had a wonderfull summer holiday in this fantastic villa with a lot of space, pool and country garden, perfect for relaxing. Some days we took trips in the area with beautiful villages, landscapes, culture, food and people - incl. nearby Orvieto, the Monster Park and the Waterfalls.

Fransesco was an amazing host. Always available for any questions or guidance. The home was a special treat as it resembled a stately manor with incredible views. The pool area was our daily sanctuary from the heat. We also had a pizza making evening that was incredible in the beautiful courtyard.

9 days of joy in Umbria

We stayed eight people in the house for nine days and had a wonderful time. The house was even better than in the pictures and the location was great for different day tours, a car is a must. Everything was nice and clean and Francesco cleaned the pool and the outside areas every morning. Overall a fantastic stay!

Wonderful family vacation

There were 9 of us in all and the home worked out perfectly! The house is beautiful and lovingly maintained by Francesco. He is a fantastic host! The pool was delightful, we were able to share evenings in the courtyard or on the upper floor balcony. We could not be more grateful. The house if located just minutes outside of Orvieto. We drove to nearby Perugia, Todi, Bagnoregio, Marmora Falls, all great places to visit. One day we took the train to Florence and enjoyed the day. It is truly a magnificent property!

Wonderful Holiday in fantastic villa in Umbria

This Summer was third year in a row for our family to stay in this wonderful villa in a charming area of Italy. Excellent place and all the things we like in Italy, trips to neighboring cities and the Monster Park, enjoying the landscape, atmosphere, food, culture and people. And a delicious pizza night. Wonderfull holiday - again

As in 2022 we spent a weeks holiday in this wonderfull villa with pool and lot of room for a,family of 8 in this beautifull landscape near Orvito. Some days relaxing at "home" other days taking trips fx to the monster park at barzano or to the nearby villages and enjoying italian food. think we'll be back in 2024!

Tranquil and beautiful farmhouse with lovely pool and gardens.

Francesco couldn’t have been kinder. He gave us great recommendations of places to go, came every day to clean the pool and sweep the courtyard. The villa is a short and easy drive to Orvieto and lots of other pretty hilltop towns for coffee and pizza. Shops only 10 mins away for groceries. Tranquil and beautiful property.

Wonderful holiday in superb villa in Umbria

Our family spent a fantastic week in this charming villa with lots of space incl. bathrooms for a big family. Nice rooms, well equipped kitchen with dish washer and a nice outside yard for meals and relaxing. Furthermore a big Private, clean pool which was used every day. And a very helpful landlord, regularly passing by. The area is Italia/Umbria classic with beatiful landscape and a number of charming cities/villages within 10-20 km to visit and enjoy ... and we made longer trips as well to waterfalls and Monster Park. All-in-all highly recommendable!

A spacious and luxury stay in a beatiful scenery

We had a great stay, with 10 people, in Orvieto. The house is large, the swimming pool is xxl, and there are various spots where you can sit during the day. The host is available whenever needed. I woud absolutely recommended this house because the price/ value is definelely worth it. Only if you expect everything to be 5 star, you should look for something else. But if 4.5 star would do for you, you will not be disappointed. We would for sure consider this house again for any holidays in the future. Ciao, Robbert

30-something years ago I read the book, Under the Tuscan Sun, and said someday I want to rent a villa in Italy. This year was the year. I wanted to be close to Orvieto, as it is such a quaint area, and in the middle of nowhere. It is scary booking the perfect place online, for a month, when it looks too good to be true. I am here to tell you, it was perfect. Memories started when we drove through the gates of Cordigliano, this charming place looked exactly like the VRBO pictures. We had family and friends join us, at various times, and each time, Francesco changed the linens and prepared the villa for the next group. We had a 5-month old baby, we had 70 year olds and every decade in between with us and each one commented about what a perfect place to relax and enjoy the local area. From the beginning to the end, various flowered plants came into bloom, enjoying many shapes and colors. Our stay at Cordigliano has been nothing less than amazing. Francesco was there every morning, cleaning the pool, sweeping the walks and trimming the bushes and plants. He shared stories of staying here as a child, with his grandparents, he offered suggestions about places to eat and visit and all of his suggestions were spot on. He made arrangements for pizza-making classes with a chef. Rent this place. You cannot go wrong! Thanks for the memories, Francesco.

We zijn hartelijk ontvangen door de eigenaar zelf. Koele drankjes lagen klaar als welkoms cadeautje. We hebben genoten van de luxe en de rust van dit typische oud Italiaans huis/boerderij. Dagelijks wordt de tuin en zwembad onderhouden. Bij vragen reageert de eigenaar super snel. Bij vertrek kregen we nog een leuk aandenken van het huis mee.Super attent! Echt een aanrader.

Wir waren 6 Erwachsene und 3 Kinder (1-5-7 Jahre). Die Unterkunft und das Anwesen passten für uns ganz ideal. Die Küche (bestens ausgestattet) war ein häufiger Treffpunkt.Der grosse Pool war sehr gepflegt, wir verbrachte dort viele Stunden.Das Haus ist in bestem Zustand mit täglich gepflegte Aussenanlagen von Francesco. Francesco stand uns in seiner freundlichen Art mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Restauration(en) und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in unmittelbarer Nähe. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und haben nichts zu beanstanden.

Perfekter Ort für einen Familienurlaub

Das Haus, der Pool und der Garten sind erheblich größer als aus der Anzeige zur erwarten war. Die Ausstattung der Küche und des gesamten Hauses liegt weit über dem, was man von einem Ferienhaus erwarten würde. Es ist an viele kleine Details gedacht worden, die man als Mieter meist mitbringen oder nach der Anreise eingekauft muss. Check in und check out laufen sehr unaufgeregt und mit äußerster Herzlichkeit durch Francesco. Wir fühlten uns durchgängig herzlich willkommen und haben die Zeit dort sehr genießen können. (Baby, Teenager, Eltern und Großeltern).

Fantastic stay

We had a fantastic stay in the house! Pierfrancesco was always helpful, and very friendly. He gave us good tips on what to do in the area, from restaurants to nice villages. The house looks better than on the pictures! The swimming pool was quite big (don't forget that there is lights for in the evening) and the area was very quiet. Pierfrancesco cleans it every morning but in silence and he was not bothering us at all. Actually he helped us in some mornings with answering questions about the area. He is a top host!! Thank you very much!!

Avevamo contattato il proprietario di casa per mail a maggio, per soggiornare la seconda settimana di agosto, chiedendo la possibilità di effettuare il soggiorno in 12 e ricevendo il suo consenso per mail. Tre settimane prima della nostra partenza, siamo stati contattati dal proprietario, dicendoci che in più di 10 non potevamo soggiornare, ma che sarebbe stato possibile solo se due di noi fossero stati bambini, creandoci delle grosse difficoltà organizzative. La casa è perfetta per una vacanza di relax, con una bellissima piscina che consente di rinfrescarsi durante le giornate più calde. Da evidenziare alcuni difetti come la presenza di formicai nella cucina (sul pavimento, sui mobili e pure sul piano cottura), la scarsa presenza di accessori per la pulizia (una scopa e una paletta per l’intera casa). Nonostante il proprietario ci avesse avvisato del problema delle formiche il giorno del nostro arrivo, non ha lasciato fornito alcun insetticida o altro. Il proprietario si è mostrato scorbutico nei nostri confronti, sin dal check-in della casa. Ottima casa e ottima esperienza se non fosse per il proprietario.

Consenso alle 12 persone mai dato visto che è scritto a chiare lettere nell’annuncio che il numero massimo di persone è 10. Senza altre richieste avete prenotato dando per scontato che avreste potuto farlo. Siete stati voi, e non di certo io, a cercarmi con tre telefonate successive per chiedermi di venire in dodici; la mia risposta è stata sempre la stessa, negativa. Per quanto riguarda la presenza di formiche, non di formicai, il mantenimento di un livello minimo di pulizia in cucina ne impedisce la comparsa, forse non lo si è mantenuto pur avendo a disposizione gli strumenti, scopa e mocio per pavimenti. Sono spiacente che la vostra esperienza non sia stata all’altezza delle vostre aspettative, lavoro per offrire il meglio che posso nel rispetto delle regole.

Mooi ruim en schoon huis met groot zwembad in rustige omgeving

Het huis ligt in een mooie omgeving. Dorpjes zijn goed bereikbaar. Het huis is zeer netjes en erg schoon. Het zwembad is ook erg mooi. Het huis heeft een hele mooie binnenplaats met eettafel waar je lang kunt blijven zitten in de avond. De eigenaar is in de ochtend aanwezig van 7.00 tot ongeveer 9.00 uur om het zwembad schoon te maken en alles netjes te vegen. Voor de vroege vogels onder ons was dat soms even lastig.omdat er dan geen baantjes gezwommen konden worden.
