the village are clustered around the parish church, Igreja Matriz, where the peaceful church square
invites you to stop and relax at a local café.
Small local fish and vegetables market, restaurants, bank, cafes, pharmacy, grocery store and bakery
are some of the conveniences within 5 minutes walking distance.

Casa do Carmo, a two storey charming family country house originally dated from 1828 was kept in
the family until 2018. The house suffered some interventions by the different generations that lived
in it and has recently been completed restored. The original character of the house has been
carefully preserved. Mostly local materials and fabrics were used in the restoration, with a mix of
antiques and classic pieces combined with contemporary interior upgrades to create a rustic,
tastefully decorated, comfortable and modern living space. The result is an awesome home where
families can enjoy a peaceful and relaxing vacation together, away from the hustle and bustle of city
life.
