About this property
Arc1950 5-Star Village Resort, Large Apartment, Ski-in/out. Very close to lifts.
Our lovely warm apartment is located on the fourth floor of the Manoir Savoie residence, completed in the last phase of the construction of Arc1950 in 2007. Thus, it is one of the newest apartments, as well as being significantly larger than most other apartments in the development at nearly 67 m2. Access is either one floor up from reception, which is on the village level, or by one of two service lifts, close by, which are directly connected to the underground car park for easy unloading of baggage etc.
Redecorated this year, it displays pictures of the local area, together with a tasteful selection of contemporary “Banksy” prints and is electrically heated throughout.
It faces away from the resort in a double-aspect SE/SW direction and enjoys the sun in the morning, is very quiet at all times and does not suffer from noise coming from the village centre – a very important bonus for those who desire peace and quiet! The larger of the two balconies (14 m2) enjoys a position directly under the roof of Manoir Savoie, with views down to Bourg-St-Maurice, then up towards Mont Blanc. It has a very spacious feel, with the eaves reaching some four metres above the deck. It is possible to sunbathe here until about 5pm, depending upon the time of year, whilst the smaller balcony (4 m2), off the second bedroom is a wonderful place to enjoy a peaceful morning coffee.
We have full-height ceilings in all of our rooms.
You will feel spoiled here as you relax in our large living room (28 m2) with views towards the Aguille Rouge whose ski run is the longest red in France. Take the opportunity to watch our brand new 65” 4K HD television, mounted to one of the walls. We have two large comfortable settees (one of which converts into a double sofa-bed) plus two armchairs, several occasional tables and a footstool. There is ample room for six people to stretch out and relax after a hard day’s skiing.
Our large wooden dining table seats six individuals in comfortable high back chairs, thus ensuring a pleasant dining experience. There is a large cupboard which contains household essentials such as a clothes airer, ironing board and vacuum cleaner - also a rail for hanging outside coats etc.
For those who wish to self-cater, we have a well-equipped “American Kitchen” which sports an induction hob, oven/grill, separate microwave oven, a refrigerator and a dishwasher. For the coffee lover there is a choice of “Nespresso” or filter coffee machines, plus an electric kettle, toaster, utensils and cookware. There is a plentiful supply of glasses, crockery, knives & forks etc.
The light and airy master bedroom which is reached via a lobby, has a very comfortable double bed with a pair of reading lamps. Large windows face both SE and SW. There are two wardrobes with plenty of hanging and storage space, one containing a safe. Off the lobby there are separate WC and bath-rooms (bath with shower overhead). There is a wall mounted hairdryer with shaver socket by the sink and an electric towel drier, plus a retractable clothes line over the bath.
The second bedroom, no less luxuriously appointed contains twin beds (with reading lamps), which can be pushed together if required. A further three wardrobes with a second safe. An external door to the smaller balcony frames a Southerly view up towards Arc 2000. A flat screen television is mounted on the wall above a convenient writing desk. There is another fully equipped bathroom with full en-suite facilities and WC as per the master bedroom. This bedroom has its own access door into the hotel corridor outside and can, in fact be “locked off” from the main apartment to create totally separate en-suite accommodation.
We have two secure ski lockers in the boot room (which is heated) lower in our building. This allows a true ski-in ski-out experience. The village is pedestrianised with no cars or other vehicles allowed (apart from piste bashers, of course!)
Manoir Savoie caters for all guests’ health and leisure requirements. We have a heated outdoor swimming pool, an indoor Jacuzzi, a sauna and steam room and an exercise room with machines and free weights. There is also a shower room.
For the busy executive, we have a fully-equipped office suite with internet connectivity.
For those persons requiring extra pampering, there is a health spa (chargeable) in the “Sources de Marie” residence nearby.
Reception is manned 24/7 and there is the “1950 Brasserie” adjacent which serves wonderful breakfasts if you wish to treat yourselves. In fact, they also cater for evening meals, as do the other six restaurants in the village, some of which do lunch as well – so you'll be spoiled for choice!
