It is a brilliant spot for couples who want to enjoy a quiet, romantic break, or for a small family wanting to discover this most scenic area of Strathearn in Perthshire, which is known as the ‘gateway to the Highlands’.
Just a few minutes’ walk away is the centre of the charming market town of Crieff, which has an excellent selection of small local shops, restaurants, pubs and cafés, as well as a great variety of sporting and recreational facilities, including Crieff Golf Club, which is rated as Scotland’s finest inland golf course. The town also boasts two parks and riverside walks along the River Earn and River Turret. Just on the outskirts of the town is the famous Glenturret Whisky Distillery, the oldest working distillery, which offers tours. Crieff offers events throughout the year including the Crieff Highland Games, a music festival, a farmers’ market and the Autumn Drovers’ Festival.
This area of Strathearn is ideal for walkers and cyclists or for those who wish to relax and unwind.
