About this property

Acorns - Converted Barn In An Attractive Courtyard On Our Family Stockfarm

Our property is made of 4 barns, which all have Gold Awards, and which are set in an attractive courtyard and all have their own private patios with garden furniture. They have been converted from the original old farm buildings and we were keen to keep all the character. We are a family run farm presently rearing Aberdeen Angus for Waitrose and have a flock of sheep. Lambing takes place in April and guests are welcome to be involved in this. They are also welcome to explore the farm and make use of our 2 coarse fishing lakes, or our indoor heated swimming pool. We have 2 very friendly working collies, Bryn and Skip, and farm cats. The farm is located on the edge of the beautiful New Forest and so ideal for walking, cycling and riding.

An ideal base for walking, riding and cycling in the New Forest. Also near Salisbury, Winchester, Portsmouth Historic Dockyards, Beaulieu Motor Museum, Paultons Park ( Peppa Pig World), Mottisfont Abbey and the coast to name a few.

This advert is for our barn called Acorns which is all on one level and has an open plan living area with a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher and microwave. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer in the laundry room, shared by the 4 barns, and where there is extra freezer room and tourist information leaflets plus space in which bikes etc can be stored. The lounge area has a freeview TV and DVD player. The bedroom has a kingsize bed and an en-suite shower room. It is heated through our by underfloor heating. Acorns is tastefully decorated to a high standard and retains the original character and oak beams. Outside is a lawned area and garden furniture for its private use and set in an attractive courtyard. The price includes all bedding, towels and use of the indoor pool.

Cosy and unique location

We had a superb and unforgettable stay in the authentic but modern utilized house. Helpfull and friendly owners. Funny, friendly sheepdogs and cats visiting us near the house. The sheep with lambs slept at night against the wall. We loved it.

A Wonderful Week at Acorns, Pyesmead Farm

This converted barn is perfect for a couple! It is very well equipped and the location is lovely. The pool is gorgeous! There are so many things to do in the area, a week just isn't long enough! We went to a music festival, Stone Henge, a local auction, Salisbury Cathedral, the beach and many lovely pubs. Thank you Hampshire!

Absolutely amazing

Our stay was absolutely perfect! Set on a lovely family farm in plaitford, across the road from the new forest. The location was perfect for us. Tina and everybody working on the farm were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble! We had a problem with the lock on the door but it was fixed very quickly! There are cats and dogs on the farm who are so so friendly and absolutely love attention, and Doug the sheepdog took us on some lovely walks across the farm and over to the lake! The property was spotless and well equipped, including some gorgeous local made hand soap! The pool was lovely, just the right temperature and with an easy booking system so you had the whole pool to yourself for an hour. We will 100% be back to visit again!

Very comfortable accommodation in an ideal location, very close to the New Forest with numerous attractions. The barn was very clean and had everything we needed. The indoor pool was superb and due to Covid had a booking system so you could book an hour slot each day and have the pool to yourself, which was fantastic. Had a wonderful week .

This property is very well situated with many places worth visiting within easy reach. My only negative comment relates to the lane leading to the cottage. It is full of deep potholes and requires careful navigation. However, we were more than pleased with our stay and intend to return.

Beautiful barns and a lovely setting

This is the third time we’ve stayed on Pybus farm and I can’t recommend it enough. The barns are beautiful and have everything you need. There are lots of animals on the farm - cows, sheep, cats, dogs that kept my children entertained as well as an indoor pool which helped on rainy days. It’s also well located with lots of things to do pretty close by. We will definitely stay again.

Delightful little barn in a great location for exploring the New Forest and beyond. The barn is finished to a very high standard & has everything you could need including a mini dishwasher & a very comfy bed. Highly recommend the barn & area for a lovely quiet getaway.

We have been farming cattle and sheep at Pyesmead Farm since 1981 and have now been joined by our son Robert. We opened our Bed and Breakfast in 1987 which we have really enjoyed running over the years, and still welcome guests to this day, having made many friends over the years. We converted our old redundant courtyard of farm buildings fairly recently and now have 4 very lovely individual cottages to offer to holiday makers.
