A beautiful, sea-view property
This very spacious, two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with two balconies was a delight of light and air flow, front to back, and was wonderful for taking meals on the sea-facing balcony, and for relaxing in the bedrooms or the dining room. Well-supplied with all amenities and essentials, my companion and I were pleased to luxuriate in this 2nd-floor oasis of a low-rise condo building. Cooking facilities and laundry, wifi and televisions, were all top-notch and functioned well. The location is noisy, because the property is situated at an unavoidably busy T-intersection, and so scooters, motorcycles, trucks, cars, etc., are heard throughout the day, though things are pretty quiet by nightfall. One other drawback--which should be remedied--was
a lack of air conditioning. Indeed, had there been air conditioning, we could have closed the doors, thus drowning out the traffic noise. We were cooled by two electric fans, but air conditioning is a must. We did enjoy our stay at the apartment/condo unit because the many positives far outweighed the few negatives. It's a 10-minute stroll to the beach (downhill) and a 15-minute walk to the "centro historico," so it is never difficult to sample the many charms of Tropea, even though Miguel Apartments is slightly outside the downtown. Then again, the walk to downtown (or to the beach) is delightful exercise, and we also got to establish and enjoy our own routines of taking in cultural pleasures, trying new or fave restaurants, viewing the art at La Fenice, or ending up at Mimmo's for gelati and cocktails. Finally, the hosts are so amiable, so amicable, so accommodating, and hastened to make us feel comfortable, answer any question, or provide any extra that we needed. We felt that we had received high-value-for-our-money, and do recommend this property heartily!
