Unfortunately we did not receive our new living room furnitures until December 2022 ( 3 months later than planned) and one month after our first rental.

The location of this property is fantastic, close to groceries, a bakery, restaurants, the metro, and the Seine. The apartment is functional, with a great view of the Parisian neighborhood.
The location of the apartment is perfect. The apartment is huge by European standards. Clean and bright everything you would need. Owner and manager are a dream to work with. You really could not do better.
If you want to go to Paris and live like a Parisian, this is the place to stay! Two blocks from Notre Dame, just across the street from a little market and even a pharmacy for random medical needs right on the corner. There's a Greek deli right next door and people in the building and the neighborhood couldn't be friendlier! The views of Notre Dame being reconstructed are unforgettable and the light coming in the living room windows both day and night was absolutely extraordinary. I highly recommend staying here!
What a beautiful place in a perfect neighborhood. Everything was just as it said. The only issue we had was that the internet did not work. We tried to reset it several time and did try our host but never heard back. This was not a huge issue for us but it could be for someone else. Other than that perfect place. Neighborhood was perfect whether with children or without. Would stay here again.
Wonderful location but exaggerated description of amenities and furnishings
Loved location but description of “luxurious furnishings and appliances” is very misleading. Twin bed was flat on the floor. Stove did not heat enough to boil water. Single toilet down hall of apartment . No dryer.
This is a very central location in the fifth, seconds from Notre Dame, a short block to the nearest metro stop and easy walk to St Michel RER.

The only knock is the noise up to about 11:30pm and starting with garbage collection in the morning. Fine hours for adults but a little tough on the kids. But that’s the price of being so central.
Views are nice but not spectacular as you are half a block from the river and see the top half of Notre Dame out the bedroom windows but nothing of the River.
This apartment has the perfect location for travelers who want to see it all. It’s conveniently close to great restaurants, markets and the metro. What I didn’t like about the apartment was the 2nd bedroom’s beds. They were essentially mattresses on the floor. As stated in other reviews the apartment has so much character and potential but lacked decor. The kitchen appliances were old and needed replacing. There weren’t any actual wine glasses either. I wasn’t a fan of using the previous tenant’s bar soap. The listing describes the apartment as luxurious (and it could be), but for now I’d call it adequate.
Beautiful property, but make sure the elevator is working
We spent 6 nights in Paris in this great apartment on the 5th floor. It is a perfect location and has a view of the Notre Dame that is under construction. I give the property a 3 rating only because the elevator stopped working after 3 days and we had to walk up and down the stairs. Since we are in our 80s, this was an effort. Otherwise the apartment was lovely. Just make sure the elevator situation is permanently fixed, unless you enjoy walking up and down 5 floors of stairs. The apartment owner did bring a strong young person to help us get our suitcases down the stairs when we checked out. All communication with the property manager and owner was great.
Let me begin by saying that my husband and I are not fussy or high-maintenance people. We’ve rented through VRBO many times including two previous times in Paris, so our expectations are not unrealistic. That said, we rented this apartment for two weeks and found it to be so unlivable that we left after the 1st night and moved to a hotel.
The first word in the apartment listing is “Luxurious” - this apartment is anything but. In fact it is quite dismal.
There was no information in the apartment giving basic instructions, including the name and password for the WiFi. I am an executive at a large company and must be connected with work even when on vacation, so WiFi is essential. I reached out to the local contact, but she did not know the WiFi name and password. She said she would send the super that evening to leave the WiFi info (as well as the 2nd set of keys to the apartment, since the person checking us in did not have them.) The super never arrived.
The listing stated there was TV and cable. There was a TV in one of the bedrooms, but it would not turn on. And of course having no WiFi I could not use any streaming services or even play music for that matter.
The listing said there was a washer/dryer. There is a very tiny washer - maybe the machine also dries but without a proper instruction, you wouldn’t know.
The listing said a hair dryer was provided, so I did not pack one. It was not there.
The listing stated there were soaps and shampoo. There were only small leftover soap bars, previously used by other guests.
There was an extremely bad odor coming from the one of the shower rooms that permeated the apartment. On top of that, the bedding was washed with very, very strongly perfumed soap. The two smells combined were so intolerable that it was impossible to sleep.
I was aware from the pictures that the apartment was lacking in decor but it is truly barren. I thought I would spruce it up a bit when I arrived with some fresh flowers and maybe some bowls of fruit, but there was nothing to spruce up with. In fact there were only 2 wine glasses and very few dishes, inadequate for a 2 bedroom apartment. The towels provided were something one might expect from a hostel.
There is no closet, drawers, or storage of any kind in the 2nd bedroom, making it virtually unusable for anyone staying there.
I have never posted a bad review on a rental before - I reached out to the manager before posting this but no reply.

Our housekeeper Gene, Who was in the apartment to welcome our guests, was very surprised to open the door to one couple with no suitcases and just a small bag. She was expecting to welcome 5 people including a child. She showed them the apartment, the equipment including the TV and how to turn it on, gave them the WIFI code. She took back the bathtowels that we had ready for 5 people, and gave them 2 bathtowels.
One hour later we got a call from the guest to tell us that the apartment was not what she expected and she is moving to an hotel in the morning. She added that she wanted a full refund on her money , otherwise she will give this apartment a very bad review. When asked what was the problems, so that we could send our maintenance man to the apartment, she send everything. In any case, she would not stay . She refused to give us the name of the hotel she was so- called moving to. WE REALIZED THAT THE ALL THING WAS A SCAM. We went to the apartment in the morning, and only on bath towel was used, so only one person stayed in the apartment. This group probably rented an other place and later realized that they had passed the dead line to have a refund. She was trying to find things wrong with the apartement to get a refund. The all review is ridiculous. First to say that the apartment is unlivable, was outrageous. The apartment was closed for one year for construction :2 new bathrooms, new floors, new decoration etc.. The TV is a new smart TV, The kitchen has plenty of glasses, cutlery etc. In addition there is a special closets with various liquors, wine and glasses. There are no smell coming out of the new bathrooms. We just had a guest leaving the day before and we did a thorough cleaning. No one witnessed a bad odor. Fortunatly this is a rare experience.
The location of the property is very good, with easy access to major sites and Metro. The amenities within the apartment are also very good, with 2 BR, a nice sitting area, kitchen and two showers, although only one toilet. There are excellent options for restaurants, bakery/coffee, shopping of all types etc. nearby. We greatly enjoyed the visit and would happily return. Thank you!
This is a very nice apartment only a few blocks from the Seine. It is a fairly short walk (about one mile) to the Louvre, St. Chapelle. Notre Dame is even closer. Many of the places we wanted to visit during our stay were within walking distance from this apartment. The location of the apartment, and a good map made it easy to get around the city center. St. Michels train station is very close, however it was closed during our stay, so we would pick up the RER by the Musee de Orsay.
The apartment itself is well kept and maintained and has the potential to be gorgeous, but it is a bit bare. There is nothing on the walls except the mural picture in the hallway. We were disappointed in the living room furniture which was torn and stained. The towels were well worn and there were small stains on the sheets. We expected better given the price per night.
It would be helpful for your guests to be given some directions for the use of the kitchen appliances as well as where to take the garbage when full.
We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. The cross ventilation with windows open and a fan keeps things quite comfortable even when it's very hot outside, and the apartment is spacious and comfortable. We'd love to return!

Perfect Apartment for families
We loved staying at this apartment! It’s the perfect location for access to tourist sites and local restaurants. The grocery stores on the street are so convenient and the boulangerie on the corner is amazing!
The apartment itself is so charming and exactly what a true Paris experience should be! Two bedrooms is great for a family with kids. Plenty of space to relax and spread out. We all loved spending time on the FOUR Balconies with views of the neighborhood and the Notre Dame cathedral. It was sparkling clean and everything worked well!

Soooo much better than 2 hotel rooms. Apartment has everything you need. 2 grocery stores right across street and so much (shops, sites and restaurants) within walking distance. Close to Metro to get to farther attractions. Owner is very helpful and great communication. Highly recommend!

Very close to Notre Dame in a beautiful building. Large 2 bedrooms. Great kitchen. The bathroom shown in the photos does not belong to this home. It has, in fact, a bathtub and sink in one room and a toilet and other sink in another room. Magnificent views of Notre Dame from both bedrooms.

Thank you to our guest for sending a pleasant review of Notre Dame Paris apartment. Nevertheless her description of the bathroom is somewhat confusing and needs explanation.
Since this photo was taken, the bathroom has been refreshed. The apartment bathroom is a classic bathroom with a full size bathtub , overhead shower, one washbasin and mirror. The other room has a washbasin, mirror and toilet, as traditionally, the toilet in France is in a different room than the main bathroom.
The apartment has gorgeous views. It is in perfect shape, decorated with lovely oriental rugs and an eclectic mix of paintings and collections. The location is perfect.
