Hemsby is a lovely traditional seaside village located in East Norfolk, approximately 7.5 miles north of the town of Great Yarmouth. The Jasmines is located within an easy 3 minute walk to the beach. Hemsby is a great resort for families and children with plenty to do!

Entry is into the lounge, which has comfortable leather sofas, an electric fire, TV with Freeview, DVD player and a small dining table and chairs.
The kitchen consists of a built in oven/hob, microwave, fridge and a small dining table and chairs.

Perfect break for grandparents of 3 boisterous boys!

Clean and more spacious than expected. Excellent location in easy walking distance to beach and small pleasant seaside town with everything you need to keep the children amused without being over commercialised. Only problem was drying boys wet clothes...an airer or washing line would have really helped. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

HOLIDAY SHOCK HORROR

This chalet style accommodation was the worst self catering place I can ever remember staying in! It smelled of urine, the furniture was falling to bits, the doors did not shut properly, the carpet in the living room was filthy, the sofas were run down and uncomfortable, the whole place looked and felt uncared for, eg:cobwebs everywhere. There was no welcoming pack of information, no recycling instructions, no local information. The write up was, in my opinion, misleading! We could not wait for the week to be over, The price we paid for this standard was extortionate!! I would never book with this company again.

Hi Sheila, The property you stayed in is rated Ruby, which is an older lower grade property. They are great value for money, and hugely popular with families, however due to their age they do show signs of wear and tear and historical maintenance . However, they should be 100% clean and ready for your arrival so I am very sorry if this was not the case for stay. There are processes and procedures in place so it is very disappointing that areas have been overlooked by the cleaning company. We encourage all our guests to contact us to let us know if anything is amiss, or if there is a problem with the accommodation and highlight this promise in your Key Safe Code email. Overall good

Location is great close to all amenities and beach, cleanliness could have been better as there was still dust in quite a few places but was easily sorted with just a wipe, other than that the house was in good condition. Unfortunately Electricity was on a coin metre which was infuriating but easy to work. The house was great and deceptively bigger than thought when looking from outside more than adequate for the 7 of us. Is really close to Great Yarmouth. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to go back

Good size rooms bathroom could do with toilet in a different place sloping ceiling in way for men and some sort of mat for when one steps out of shower floor slippery

Property review 7 the jasmines.

Lovely property apart from needing the light on in the lounge all day. Very dark room which gave it a claustrophobic feel but apart from that, everything was lovely. Well equipped kitchen. TV reception bit hit and miss but overall, a nice stay.

Ok for the price.

Would be ok if you dont plan to spend alot of time there. Despite cleaners going in the morning we arrive the place wasnt clean, loads of stuff under the sofa’s, wheelie bin outside the front door was over flowing, it stunk and also meant we couldnt use it. Shower tray etc was disgusting and no one made us aware we had to turn the hot water on with a switch so had no idea where it was and had no hot water. Stairs carpet was not very nice and smelt damp. Over all very unclean. Location is good and bad, good that it is less than a minute walk to the beach and amusements but bad that its really close to a pub and its quite noisy till late. Wasnt the worst place ive stayed in but i wouldnt book it again. Needs a good freshen up. Luckily wasnt expensive.

The property was clean but was let down by how tired it looks and where its situated .

We rented this for a little get away , when I read 3 minutes Tues from the beach I was thrilled, but it forgot to mention the arcades doughnut stands go carts etc etc we felt like we were in the middle of a fairground. The property needs updating and the beds were very uncomfortable , we booked for two nights but could only stay for one as we felt so uncomfortable there. I am sorry to say that the cleanliness was poor. Had to rewash pots, clean tables and surfaces, clean under settee which clearly had not been hoovered. It would be helpful to have a mirror in the bedrooms and a nearby plug - impossible to dry hair. Garden was very poor - a bit of weeding and tidying should be done to make it more presentable. Just need to let you know that the shower doesn't drain very well - needs attention Just worrying in view of recent pandemic that the cleaning was clearly not a deep- clean/sanitise as promised - luckily we had taken all of our own cleaning materials - just not a great start to the holiday

Long Weekend

Property has the potential to be a fantastic place in a prime location, and be a really good seaside getaway! One car parking space and one toilet/shower for a 3 bed property just seems little wasted.(We had 6 people) There is plenty of space to do so much better than the wasted space in the area behind the sofa. More importantly, there needs to be a little better maintenance and cleaning. Shower is clearly blocked (and looking quite grotty/mouldy?). The mop left in the bathroom clearly indicates this is a problem that is known about. If I hadn’t had to shower, I wouldn’t of. I did have to, and the smell from the plug hole was pretty dreadful! There was also a few of the downstairs laminate flooring panels coming up, lots of spiders and bugs left around the house. All the main issues are very easily solved with a bit of effort put into the maintenance. Still, I would probably book again, just avoid having to use the shower for a day or two.

Vile vile house

We arrived to find blood on the mattress protector the house was dirty and dusty, when we tried to call the manager we was passed around with no one wanting to take responsibility! They then took an hour and a half to come out and give us new protectors they didn’t even look at the bloody sheet

Hemsby escape

All in all this property was ideally located close to all amenities but still quiet enough, unfortunately the cleanliness was not up to scratch and the previous guests had not cleaned up after their dog. We would have given this property 5 stars if not for that.

Everything on your doorstep

I booked this property for a birthday weekend. The property is ideally situated so that you don't have to drive anywhere if you don't want to. The booking was faultless and communication was excellent. The property itself is a little dated and could do with a freezer plus a mirror near to an electric socket. However, this did not impact on our weekend. The closest well stocked shop is about a fifteen minute walk so bring what you need with you to get started. The beach is a two minute walk. The pub is on the corner and the amusements are about five minutes away. All in all a great little find. I would not hesitate to book again
