Set in the heart of the village, Crossways Cottage is a cosy cottage perfect for a family holiday or weekend away. The cottage is just five minutes walk from the beach and walking distance from all the local amenities, which means you can enjoy a relaxing holiday without needing to drive anywhere.
Downstairs there's a spacious open plan living area with two comfortable sofas, TV, electric stove and dining table. The kitchen is well equipped with an induction hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer and washer/dryer. Through the kitchen you'll find the downstairs bedroom which can either be made up as two x 2'6" single beds, or linked together as a kingsize double. There's also an ensuite WC with washbasin.
The traditional Norfolk Winder staircase (which some may find steep) leads up from the living area to a landing, and the upstairs bedroom which has a standard double bed. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over, WC and washbasin.
Outside there's a sheltered courtyard style garden which is part paved, part gravel with flowerbeds. There's outside seating including a dining table and chairs. The entrance to the cottage is via patio doors leading into a small conservatory which also has seating.
Crossways Cottage has off road parking for one car, with other free parking available nearby in the village. Up to three dogs are welcome at Crossways Cottage for no additional charge, and will enjoy the outside warm water dog shower - also useful for cleaning sand from human feet! Your dogs are welcome throughout the downstairs of the property and may join you on the sofas when using the throws provided.

We found Crossways Cottage very welcoming, clean and in a good location. The extras provided for the dog were an added bonus. It was also helpful to have a private car parking space. The village is very friendly and quiet, with plenty of walks on the doorstep and close to the beach. I would definitey recommend to anyone who is thinking of staying at Winterton-on-Sea.

Lovely, comfortable and wonderful location
This is my second stay at this property and highly unlikely to be the last. The cottage is in the heart of the village and close to everything. Very comfortable, spacious and well fitted out property. We were lucky to have great weather and were able to make use of the super cute garden. Little Rufus (the sprockerpoo) had his own treats and throws were provided so he could fully enjoy the cottage and make the best of his holiday too.

Great cottage in fantastic location
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crossways cottage. The location is excellent for everything in Winterton on Sea. Poppys and the chip shop were both very good and the Fisherman’s return Sunday carvery was exceptional. The cottage itself is very homely and a lot of thought has gone into it. The garden is dog friendly and the patio set is perfect to make the most of the sun as it’s quite sheltered. We only had a few very minor issues - only one toilet roll so had to buy some, no bottle opener that we could find and the shower was a bit low for the tall members of the family. The winder stairs weren’t as bad as I was expecting, easy using the handrails. We would definitely stay at the property again.

Good stay
First time in this cottage, we know the village well so knew its location was good etc. parking was good, nice little garden area enclosed so safe for large and smaller dogs (no grass) . Handy porch/ small conservatory great for coats and boots etc. lounge comfy .
Upstairs bedroom has more room than the downstairs one. If 4 adults were staying the ones using the downstairs bedroom would struggle for space. Although we did use that room to sleep we kept our case & clothes in the room upstairs .
The stairs are steep winding ones but plenty of hand rails to grab .
It is a little tired but it had everything we needed at a good price. We would probably stay there again .

Great space and close to the beach
This is the second time we’ve stayed here. The bedrooms both have good sized beds and the property has a secure garden for the dogs. We stay out of season and so it’s lovely and quiet in the village.

Second visit to Crossways and once again it was perfect. Very comfortable and had everything we needed. Radiator on the stair wall made a lot of difference keeping it warm and cosy. The Christmas Tree gave it a lovely festive feel - we didn't want to leave. Hope to be back again soon

We keep coming back to Crossways Cottage
We have stayed several times in Crossways Cottage with our dog, and we absolutely love it! Very comfortable layout, spotlessly clean, and so handy for the beach and amenities. Also the seating area in the garden is a boon, with comfortable chairs for reading. We certainly hope to return again before long.

Lovely cottage right in the middle of the village just a few minutes from the beach. Really comfortable and very dog friendly. The pretty walled garden is a delight to sit in and the dog shower is a great addition. We all loved it! It's the second time we have stayed at Crossways and I'm sure we'll be back

Great Cottage!
We've stayed in Winterton numerous times and are absolutely delighted to have found this gem. It’s perfectly located for the dunes, beach, great pub and the best fish and chip shop! The cottage really felt like home from the minute we got there and was lovely and clean and comfortable. We will definitely try and book again for our next visit. Rosie our dog was very happy there too!!!

Good location
A lovely little cottage, a short walk to the beach and all the village amenities. Very clean. Small patio area which catches the sun and good private parking.we had a pleasant week here with our two dogs. Well equipped with all home comforts. Good wi-fi. Very steep stairs but plenty of hand rails. Main bathroom is upstairs but there is a downstairs loo. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Winterton. Small conservatory which was handy and caught the sun all day .
Very comfortable cottage. Surprisingly spacious and great location. The garden space that the owners have created is a true winner - great for people, great for dogs.

Doggie Heaven
This was our second stay at Crossways (last year, same dates) in Winterton, allowing our puppy Rosie her first visit to the beach. While the weather was not as good as last year, the cottage was. A comfortable, generally well appointed cottage with modern amenities a very short walk from a top dog friendly beach, which out 6 month old puppy loved. If you don't know, Winterton on Sea is a fantastic little village between Great Yarmouth and Cromer, It is the most dog friendly place I've ever been to - we have had 5 visits since 2015. This is a great escape IF you have a dog.

Lovely cottage, perfect location!
This was our second stay at Crossways which says it all. The location is perfect, in the centre of the village and within a few minutes walk from the wonderful sand dunes and beach. The cottage is ideal if you have a dog, the throws provided for the sofas were a nice touch though I always take plenty of my own! Poppy’s tea rooms, the Fisherman’s Return (both dog friendly) and Winterton Fish and Chips can all be recommended. A.ready planning our next visit!

Cosy dog friendly cottage in superb location
Thank you for a great mini break (and the chocies/dog biscuits!), you made us all feel very welcome. Such a lovely clean quiet cottage with all the home comforts. Would highly recommend to all, dog or non dog owners!
The owners of the cottage had put a great deal of thought into the facilities, much appreciated.
Perfect location for walks on the dunes, beach or a visit to the excellent local chip shop (who cater for all, GF/Vegan).
