Renovated by Boston interior designer & Provincetown g-1 gallery owner with mid century style blended with an old Provincetown sensibility. Well-appointed floor through suite (1000 sq ft) with private entrance. Living/dining area opens to beautiful large private 10x18 ft deck with views of a beautiful perennial garden and the Provincetown Heritage Museum.

g-1 offers established and emerging contemporary artists with a focus on painting, photography, and works on paper. The gallery hosts scheduled openings while keeping regular hours seven days a week through the high season. Year round g-1 is open weekends or by appointment.

Why they chose this property
While renting from a friend and colleague through the mid-nineties I set my sights on
a neighbors house which seemed to be a diamond in the rough. When a long time resident invited me into her home which she could no longer take care of I immediately knew this would be the perfect place and project for me. She grew fond of me during our visits and decided she wanted me to live in the house. The rest is history. Removing carpet, paneling, vinyl siding, and concrete sidewalks were just a few of the changes made to the property with a goal of making it feel as though it had remained untouched as a piece of Old Provincetown. Blending mid century furniture and yard sale finds with contemporary Italian design and an extensive art collection was a primary goal of the spaces. The labor of love included the development of a perennial garden to envelope the classic Cape style home and it's exterior spaces.
