Our apartement is perfect for lovers of art and spaces rich in history, La Vetreria is a unique hideaway full of contemporary and antique elegance. Set in an old glassworks studio, this loft-style space has been beautifully restored with an eclectic mix of artworks, contemporary design, and antiques set against stunning original stonework and archways. Away from busy tourist spots, you can enjoy an authentic slice of Roman life whilst being an easy walk from Trevi Fountain or Piazza di Spagna and Termini Station as well as some great local restaurants or the much-loved 'Gelateria La Romana' up the road.
This apartment was created with the utmost care, style and attention, following the principles of environmental sustainability (energy class is E) and respecting the original features and character of this historic building, to share with special people.
The apartment is located within a courtyard and is therefore safe and quiet and will allow you to enjoy your stay in comfort and tranquility. If you have children, they can play in the courtyard without causing disturbance to other residents.
Our two-level apartment has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, one en-suite, and a sofa bed in the living room. It can accommodate five people comfortably.
The second bedroom is on the upper level and is connected by a staircase from the living room.
The luxuriousness of the apartment is achieved by clever use of materials, wooden floors all over, sustainable construction solutions and the presence of air conditioning, heating and de-scaling water supply.
The facilities in the apartment are all made and certified in accordance with the highest regulations in force.
The windows are equipped with shatterproof glass.
La vetreria comes with a full set of natural cotton and linen sheets and towels proportionate to the number of guests. Finally, the house has free WiFi internet access, LCD TV 50" and HI-FI connected with GoogleChromecast, dishwasher, washing and dryer.
We've recently added a facilty that most of our guests asked for.

Gorgeous, safe and centrally located in Rome.

We stayed here 3 days as a family of 5. It’s a beautifully building and the exposed walls add charm to the condo. We truly enjoyed all the comforts of the apartment. The kitchen is nicely updated and the en-suite tub was fantastic. The condo is centrally located in a nice area of Rome and walking distance to the subway. We highly recommend this condo.

A perfect Roman Holiday!

Perfection in Rome! My family just returned from a lovely holiday in Rome made perfect by our stay at Antonella and Sergio's glorious apartment. Walking distance to the Spanish Steps and other Roman sites, we couldn't have asked for a better place to end and start our days! The apartment is beautiful with the old arches, wooden flooring, elegant tiled bath and shower. All the cooking dishes and glassware you would need if you decided to cook in and not eat in any of the wonderful restaurants around!!! The owners are charming and available for any questions.

Stylish apartment in the quite embassy district

We loved this apartment! Spacious and beautifully decorated, it's also in a very quiet neighborhood. On the ground floor with a nice open courtyard, easy access from the street. Good climate control, the air conditioning kept us comfy on hot days, made for good sleeping at night. The owners were very helpful and communicated perfectly to make sure everything was ok. Highly recommended!

This is a wonderful apartment which is within walking distance to many sites in Rome (and very close to the Termini train station). Many good restaurants in the neighborhood (including da Vincenzo and Fuocolento), a great pizzeria (REbasilico) right at the corner, and a fantastic gelato shop (La Romana) right at the end of the block. Also, a convenient supermarket (Conad) only a short walk away. We are looking forward to returning. Thank you, Antonella and Sergio !

Everything was perfect!

After our hotel cancelled our reservation, I switched gears and found this amazing property and was so grateful for the hotel cancellation! We had a large space, washer and dryer, two bathrooms and plenty of space for us to be comfortable. Antonetta was so kind and assisted me with logistics, supplies and recommendations. The neighborhood has wonderful restaurants and is in a quiet, elite neighborhodd that is accessible to everything by taxi. I highly recommend this gem of an apartment!

Beautiful and inviting home!

My husband and I had such a lovely stay in this home while in Rome! The location was great for us and the owners did an awesome job of welcoming us and leaving a VERY comprehensive book about the property and surrounding area which answered every question we had. Antonella was available any time we had a question and was very helpful. She was a great host! The house had absolutely everything we needed, well stocked kitchen, coffee bar, and even included very nice umbrellas when we had unexpected rain. We would highly recommend this unique home to anyone touring Rome who wants a warm and inviting home to come back to every night. We would stay again!

Enjoyed our stay!

We stayed in this apartment Oct 6 2016 for three nights. The apartment is just as the photos show. Antonella and Sergio were there to meet us when we arrived and showed us everything about the apartment. The apartment is within walking distance of most of the tourists must sees. We took a taxi to the Vatican as we had an early morning tour. There are metros, supermarkets and restaurants all within easy walking distance. The apartment had everything we needed and more. We found it to be very quiet at night. If returning to Rome I would definitely stay again.

Beautiful, ideally situated apartment

La Vecchia Vetreria is an exceptionally well presented apartment that comfortably accommodated our family of 4 (2 teenage boys). The position is perfect in a great neighbourhood that was maybe 20 minutes walk or a brief bus journey from the Colosseum area but far enough away to get away from the crowds at the end of the day and relax at one of a number of excellent local restaurants, wine bars and a couple of excellent gelateria. Sergio and Antonella were courteous and helpful hosts at all stages of the process. When we return to Rome we will look no further.

Truly Lovely

Charming, comfortable, beautiful, and surprisingly peaceful. Though Sergio and Antonella were tied up with some personal business during our stay, they made sure we were well taken care of - and they were not only just a text away, but encouraged us to be in touch no matter how small the query. They have really thought of everything, and the guide they provided in advance of our visit would have kept us busy, entertained and well-fed even if we had looked no further. We booked via HomeAway because we were bringing our tween/teen children, but would not hesitate to stay again if it were just the two of us. A short walk from Termini, but not too close; a short walk from “tourist Rome,” but just far enough that the apartment feels like your own little hideaway. Hard to leave. Looking forward to coming back!

Absolutely Wonderful!

We had such a beautiful stay in this apartment while we were in Rome. Antonella and Sergio could not have been more lovely. We were greeted with Prosecco and crackers which was quite a nice surprise. They were so communicative in case we needed anything during our stay. There are three great restaurants on this block alone with a Gellato shop at the end. We were close to so much and it was easy to get a taxi from the block or right around the block (as we did not drive while we were in Rome). They had the international program on TV so it was easy to watch news in English (among other favorite shows). I would absolutely recommend this rental to anyone looking to stay in the heart of Rome and I would rent from them again.

Outstanding property, nice amenities and the nicest, most considerate owners and people you can meet

Way too late in writing this review but the stay was perfect...I didn't go back to the listing to recall the names of the owners but they were great, from greeting us when we arrived, helping us with restaurants, things to do, places to go, assisting us with airport transportation, etc. The apartment itself was spacious, modern yet blending in with the original stone/brick construction of the building. Master suite was beautiful, dining and den very comfortable. We didn't use the upstairs loft because the couple traveling with us cancelled so I don't recall much about it other that it is open, overlooking the living and dining areas. The location is near city center/shopping and requires a bit of walking to get to some of the main archeological sites but Rome is a city for walking and we enjoyed the exploring (we never tried public transportation). All in all, a great stay and would very much like to return...

Beautiful apartment in Rome

We were a group of 4 ladies who recently stayed at this lovely apartment in Rome and found it to be perfect for our needs. The apartment is just as pictured, a beautiful mix of old and new decor and well appointed. We were warmly welcomed the first night by Sergio and Antonella, and appreciated the thorough instructions that were sent in advance as well as available in the apartment with many tips for navigating the city, restaurant recommendations, etc. There is a bus stop very close by that connected us to where we needed to be, and the Rome Termini is within easy walking distance as well. We did use Uber and taxis a few times in the evenings for convenience, but also enjoyed several restaurants right on our street and gelato (of course). Thank you for a wonderful stay and we wouldn't hesistate to stay at this apartment if we are lucky enough to find ourselves in Rome again!

The apartment overall was incredible. There were only a couple of minor issues within the apt that were dealt with promptly. As I arrived extremely late I had no problems paying the due tax late so I wouldn't disturb the owners. Now,this has nothing to do inside the apt,but the apts above were extremely loud basically nonstop. Up and down stairs all night. Walking loudly above all night. Sometimes it literally sounded like wooden shoes were worn. The apartment itself had no misrepresentation whatsoever. Thank you Antonella and Sergio. Perhaps you could possibly speak with other owners about the noise level in other vacation rentals.

Style and comfort...

We were two couples in our 50s staying in Rome for three nights. I stumbled across this flat as the first one we rented we were told that the condo association is no longer renting. A great find. Just as the pictures showed. Very deco interior. Close to everything. I don't think we paid more than 12 euro to get to anything. The upstairs bedroom does have a bit of a low ceiling but you get used to it. Air was fine. All the amenities you could need. A nice quiet courtyard when you return from your days events. Antonella and Sergio had everything laid out as far as getting around. You could use public transport if you wish but we chose cabs while we were there. We finally were able to figure out how to get English on the TV but that was no big deal. Nice restaurants just outside the flat on the street. Very quiet and comfortable. Thanks to Antonella and Sergio for a great stay. I wish we were still there.

Great potential, just needs a few minor fixes

The property managers were helpful in making our stay as convenient as possible. They gladly arranged transfers for us between airport, cruise port, and apartment. The apartment location was close enough to attractions to be convenient, but far enough away to get a feel for local life in Rome. A broad selection of local restaurants and a grocery store were within easy walking distance of the apartment. The area seemed quite safe. The apartment design was unique, but had a few issues, that once corrected would raise my rating of the apartment significantly. Water pressure was extremely low - never good and at times barely dribbling out of the shower head, making it difficult to wash/rinse. Also, water temperature fluctuated as water pressure changed. The lack of a door on the master shower and low water flow made shower time uncomfortably chilly. The air conditioning worked great, but there was no ventilation in the loft making it a little stuffy.

Love, Love, Love!

My Husband, daughter and I stayed in this lovely apartment 3 nights while visiting Rome. I was in Love with this stunning place! If you have any appreciation for design and architecture you will be amazed by the style the owners have. It is the perfect mix of rustic, historic- Roman Charm and Modern Classics. The location was perfect for us. There were many restaurants near by and a lovely wine store with a beautiful assortment of wine and champagne. We enjoyed getting to know the neighborhood when we were not pounding the streets as tourist at the Trevi Fountain, Colosseum and Forum. I do not enjoy extremely crowded streets full of tourist all of the time. The apartment is located just far enough away to have peace when you need it. We slept very well, we felt very safe with the locked entry to the courtyard. A big plus was.... No Stairs to climb with suitcases. The owners are very nice....they greeted us with pizza and left wine for us to enjoy. They were very responsive and made us feel welcome. The beds were very comfortable with nice bed linens. The "Disco Shower" as I call it.... in the master bedroom was awesome! It added that Italian Wow factor to our stay. There was plenty of hot water and water pressure. There was even a nice hairdryer for our use... which is greatly appreciated by a girl with lots of hair! Overall, I would highly recommend this apartment. It was perfect!! Thank you for a wonderful visit to Rome.

Amazing!

After 5 days between Venice and Florence, we arrived in Rome and to our "home" for our 4 day stay before heading back to the states. It is even more beautiful then the pictures! Every detail is just beautiful and the space very clean. They even had a bottle of prosecco waiting for us on arrival. Our daughters (15 and 18) LOVED their loft room overlooking the kitchen and dining room (made easily private by the blinds on the glass divider). I think I can sum up how fabulous this rental is by saying two of the three nights we picked up food and ate in! We didn't want to leave it! Antonella and Sergio were so accommodating and helpful - we quickly felt like they were friends - which was so comforting when in a foreign city so far from home. The apartment is tucked in a safe neighborhood (near the British Embassy) and you can easily walk to all the big sites like the Colliseum, Spanish steps, Trevi Fountain etc or to surrounding neighborhoods with quaint restaurants where locals eat and the food is spectacular. There is an AMAZING gelato shop just two blocks down that we enjoyed every night. There are lots of great cafes to grab coffee and fresh pastries each morning. We collapsed each night happily exhausted (the beds were not that comfy but we were tired and our surroundings were so stunning we didn't care!) Antonella arranged our cab to the airport on the day we left and he was AWESOME! I feel badly that I am forgetting his name. Would have loved to have had him as a tour guide while there. We highly recommend spending 1/2 a day in Trastevere - great spot for lunch or dinner and some of the quaintest side streets, shops, gelato...we walked and walked and had the best late lunch.. you could walk but its also a quick cab/uber ride across the Tiber River. We so look forward to returning to Rome in the future, staying here again, and going to the beach with Antonella! Ciao!

Beautiful architecture, well-appointed

We loved the location—could walk to the train station in less than15 minutes, Borghese Gallery in 20, and Trevi fountain in under 25. For other sites, we easily got a taxi (using Free Now app). Fantastic gelato at La Romana just a block away, and several restaurants in the neighborhood. It is on a quiet street—no problem with noise at night. Inside the apartment is beautiful, with old stone archways and modern furnishings. Beds were comfortable; always had hot water for showers. Property managers made check in and check out easy. They were communicative and helpful. A lovely property and we very much enjoyed our stay!
