A warm and cosy character cottage found in a peaceful village location in Sculthorpe, Greyhound Cottage is a super holiday retreat for both staying in and for getting out and about exploring beautiful North Norfolk, coastal and inland, be it on foot, bike or car.
Once upon a time this delightful cottage was the village pub, The Greyhound. It still has a cellar and a snug to remind you of its former past, but otherwise you really wouldn't know. Decorated in soft pastel colours, comfortably furnished in a contemporary style, with modern filament lightbulbs lighting some of the rooms, the cottage has an easy, relaxing feel throughout. On entering the front door you are welcomed by a spacious sitting room with a wood burning stove. To one side of the sitting room is an equally roomy dining room; perfect for friends and family to enjoy a meal together. On the other side, a few steps up from the sitting room, a cosy snug provides another wood burning stove, desk, and plenty of toys for little ones making it a great children's playroom. The L-shaped sofa is the place to be if you want to quietly read, need to work or study. The modern fitted country-style kitchen is very well-equipped with everything you need if you like to cook and want to sample some of the wonderful produce found locally. When it's time to retire for the day, upstairs you will find three bedrooms (a stunning split level master super-king suite, a second super-king bedroom with twin option, and a bunk room) along with two bathrooms, one of which is en-suite to the master bedroom. Outside, you have a choice of seating areas; a picket fenced courtyard garden immediately outside the kitchen, and an enclosed landscaped gravel, bark and flower meadow area with lovely views to the rear of the courtyard barn.
Greyhound Cottage is a great holiday property and will suit all manner of holidaymakers of all ages; couples, friends, families, birdwatchers, walkers, cyclists, dog owners, beach lovers ...... just anyone who is looking for a relaxing Norfolk hideaway to escape to for a short or longer break at any time of the year.
Additional Information: Two well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). Travel cot, stair gate, and high chair available on request. Please bring your own linen for the travel cot. Duvets and pillows are synthetic. Please bring your own pods for the Tassimo coffee machine.

We wanted a cosy place to celebrate Christmas early as we couldn’t meet over the Christmas period. This was a perfect place for grandparents, parents and 2 teenagers to meet. The cottage was full of character and everything we wanted was provided. We arrived on the coldest day of the year and it was a little chilly, but as soon as the log burner was lit it was snuggly warm. It was perfect to open presents, all cosy together, and look outside to the frosty trees. The owners had decorated with two Christmas trees so it was just as we imagined. Perfect.
Beautifully presented in ever way, very clean, decor was very tasteful, very, very impressive in every way - every room and garden.

Stay at Greyhound Cottage
It was quite cold on arrival and no garden chairs or table available to enjoy the sunshine. Given that the master suite only had a wet room available it was inconvenient there was no toilet downstairs.

Dear Janice,
Thank you for your feedback following your stay at Greyhound Cottage.
Sorry to hear that you did not manage to locate the garden furniture during your stay, I can see by your booking nothing was brought to our attention during your stay in regards to the garden furniture, which is a shame as we do like the opportunity to rectify any issues for you whilst you are at the property. The garden furniture is stored away in the shed and we would have been more than happy to access these for you during your stay if we'd have know.
Going forwards all of our properties have floor plans on the website for you.
We do look forward to welcoming you back to Norfolk again very soon Janice and will be more than happy to recommend some great properties for you.

Relaxed and refreshed after a wonderful week away
Such a fabulous find, the Greyhound cottage is full of character and the perfect away from home getaway. Furnished with all the modern compliances, we enjoyed spending time in the cottage as much as we did exploring the local sights of Norfolk. We would highly recommend this cottage and can’t wait to return again.
