A warm and cosy character cottage found in a peaceful village location in Sculthorpe, Greyhound Cottage is a super holiday retreat for both staying in and for getting out and about exploring beautiful North Norfolk, coastal and inland, be it on foot, bike or car.
Once upon a time this delightful cottage was the village pub, The Greyhound. It still has a cellar and a snug to remind you of its former past, but otherwise you really wouldn't know. Decorated in soft pastel colours, comfortably furnished in a contemporary style, with modern filament lightbulbs lighting some of the rooms, the cottage has an easy, relaxing feel throughout. On entering the front door you are welcomed by a spacious sitting room with a wood burning stove. To one side of the sitting room is an equally roomy dining room; perfect for friends and family to enjoy a meal together. On the other side, a few steps up from the sitting room, a cosy snug provides another wood burning stove, desk, and plenty of toys for little ones making it a great children's playroom. The L-shaped sofa is the place to be if you want to quietly read, need to work or study. The modern fitted country-style kitchen is very well-equipped with everything you need if you like to cook and want to sample some of the wonderful produce found locally. When it's time to retire for the day, upstairs you will find three bedrooms (a stunning split level master super-king suite, a second super-king bedroom with twin option, and a bunk room) along with two bathrooms, one of which is en-suite to the master bedroom. Outside, you have a choice of seating areas; a picket fenced courtyard garden immediately outside the kitchen, and an enclosed landscaped gravel, bark and flower meadow area with lovely views to the rear of the courtyard barn.
Greyhound Cottage is a great holiday property and will suit all manner of holidaymakers of all ages; couples, friends, families, birdwatchers, walkers, cyclists, dog owners, beach lovers ...... just anyone who is looking for a relaxing Norfolk hideaway to escape to for a short or longer break at any time of the year.
