Main House: 2 1/2 bd & 3 1/2 bath PLUS.... a full studio above the 2 car garage to make 3 1/2 bedroom and 4 1/2 bathrooms. Plus downstairs is half additional living room and half bunk area. Surrounding the property is Tahoe National Forest. Sit on the wrap around deck and enjoy the tall pines and seasonal creek. No neighbors on either side, gives the house mountain privacy. Described by visitors as a "true retreat in the woods." Hop on your bike, cross country skis or snow shoes and explore the vast trail system or take a quick 2.5 mile drive to one of Lake Tahoe's sandy beaches.

Northstar/Squaw/Alpine Meadows/Mt. Rose/Diamond Peak/Homewood just a short drive away. Tahoe Rim Trail accessible from the house.

We had a fun-filled weekend staying with family friends and kids. We all had enough space and 4 full bathrooms which was a huge plus. Love being close to town, but outside of the hustle and bustle. A secluded getaway just within the Tahoe Basin.

The property was incredibly clean and access in and out was a breeze. Although there was no access to the garage the wide drive way was able to fit all of our groups cars with ease. The shear number of beds made sure that everyone had a comfortable place to sleep, while the multiple common spaces allowed us to spread out without feeling all over each other. I would highly recommend this property for anyone who wants to enjoy the seclusion that Tahoe can offer while still be close to major area cities.

The house was perfect for our group. The wifi didn't work but that is no fault of the owners. Half of our group did have cell phone service in the main level of the house (we have Att) the ones with sprint did not have service until we got closer to town.

Very nice property and super responsive owner

This property is nicely updated and remodeled. There are plenty of spaces for a large group of people. Comfortable beds, lots of cookwares and kitchen utensils. The owner, Rosalyn, is very responsive and easy to communicated with. Not only she kindly let us check in early, she also checked on us during the storm which is super nice. The internet is a bit slow but Rosalyn has installed a starlink dish which provides a better experience. Overall, we love the place and had a great fun, highly recommend this property and Rosalyn!

Tahoe Vista August 2019

We were very pleased with this property rental. It had everything we needed We've stayed in a lot of VRBO's and have NEVER had so many extras! Shampoos, lotions, soaps, spices, cookware, etc. It was amazing! We had many relaxing morning and evenings just enjoying each others company on the beautiful deck overlooking the beautiful scenery. Very peaceful and quiet. Was surprised at the amount of traffic on the road but honestly it didn't bother us, the house is very well built and quiet. Thank you very much for letting us stay. We would definitely stay again!!!!! :-)

Great house, secluded getaway, well-stocked kitchen

This house was everything we wanted for our trip. Enough room for everyone, in a quiet neighborhood, close to the beach, and with a well-stocked kitchen for big group meals. Also having the studio allowed us to split up people who wanted to go to bed early and people who enjoyed staying up late. The only thing I would improve upon was that the lighting in the living room was a bit dim, and the gas canister on the BBQ sounded like it was leaking. But apart from those the house was great. Would definitely rent again!

Beautiful accommodations for party of 11!

We rented this house for a group of 11, which included 7 adults, 3 teens and one "tween". The house perfectly met our needs. I have absolutely nothing negative to report. The home is beautifully appointed and the master suite was luxury. We had multiple decks overlooking the wooded areas of Tahoe and we were located a short distance from Kings Beach. The owner graciously provides all paper goods, as well as multiple basic spices and cooking essentials. The home was very clean and met all described amenities. The owner responded to all our questions in a very timely manner. We have rented multiple accommodations through VRBO since 2011. This experience ranks at the top of our list. Large family lots of room

Beautiful property just like lidting. Loved the 3 fireplaces, large decks, kitchenware and papeetowels, bags etc. Fully stocked house. I was a bit intimidated by bear fence but it was very easy to get in. And i felt safe with it. Loved the location very easy ride to kings beach. Nice being away from the crowds on a busy labor day weekend. Lots of room for my family of 10 and children loved the downstairs full living room with toy box while adults enjoyed the upstairs living room. Only con was dryer would not dry clothes but advised Roselyn right away so she can get repaired. Hung beach towels out and they dried quick. Not a big deal. Very nice lady to work with. Hope to rent place again soon.

My paperwork stated it had satellite/cable. It did not - it had streaming which went out most of the time because of a very very weak internet service. Two outlets on main level did not work. Back deck outlet and lights did not work. Main level staircase light was out. We were not happy at all with the property.

Hi, I’m sorry that your experience was not pleasurable. I did respond to your call (very hostile) at a late hour and stated that the fuse must have been blown and gave alternatives to use the beside lamps for the time being. I explained where there fuse box was located. Upon my arrival to the house after your stay, this was the case. I flipped the switch and all was corrected. I also stated in my vrbo advertisement that we only have tv via Netflix and Hulu, it states this under tv option add. Again I’m sorry for the inconvenience and this is not our normal experience from our guest as you can see in all our other reviews. We truly do not deserve a one star review. Also after your stay our carpets were severely stained and I did not charge for that as I knew you had difficulties with your stay with the lighting.

Great House- Big Challenges!

Such a beautiful home! We rent homes in many places, are experienced adaptable clients, but when the internet didn’t work and we couldn’t stream TV or receive phone calls, and the technology is so complicated and difficult to get in the door of the rental, we wrote this one off. Some of our challenges were circumstantial like the whole beach fireworks show being cancelled but we couldn't go back to the rental to watch a movie or receive phone calls because the internet is so weak. When we called the owner she was very responsive but couldn’t do anything about the internet. We feel like the write up should not promise internet connection at all. We would not have rented this one had we known.

Dorothy, I’m sorry that your experience with the internet was not the best. Yes, sometimes on extremely busy holiday days AT&T’s system does get overloaded. There is a house phone for use to make calls in the event that your service provider does not work well in the area. We have had many other renters since your visit and haven’t had complaints. I work very hard to ensure the house is ready for guests and to respond as soon as I can to any complications. Best of luck on your next rentals.

Nice rental, maybe better in summer, and if you prefer to be unplugged

Rosalynn was a very responsive and accommodating owner to rent from. The location is great, super close to skiing and King's Beach. The house and studio were clean and in good condition, and full of amenities for the bathrooms and kitchen, which was really nice. The garage was not available (we didn't know this until we got our check in instructions). The description lists parking, just might have been better to explicitly state no garage since in the winter it is great to have access. The area with twin beds and downstairs living space are all in one room, with no door to close it off. This was an issue for us to configure sleeping arrangements for kids who needed more of an enclosed sleeping area. The heaters were tremendously noisy - we had to turn them all off to be able to sleep, and in below zero weather that was rather uncomfortable. The studio is poorly insulated and only has that old standing heater you see in the picture, and a small space heater, so it was difficult to heat the entire space, especially the bathroom. The main beds had linens but there were none provided for any of the pullout beds. We found lots of pillows and blankets, thankfully, but no sheets or pillow cases. The biggest issue was the internet connection, which was so weak we could barely connect long enough to send a text or email, let alone use the Rokus for streaming, even if we only tried connecting one device at a time, or resetting the router. We have been staying at rentals in this area for over a decade, and often during a snow storm, and have never had this issue, so this didn't seem to be a network coverage or storm problem. Bottom line is this rental is fine if you are looking for a trip to be off the grid and/or have other non-internet-based entertainment activities planned, and you don't have to use the heat (ie a summer trip). Unfortunately this didn't apply to us so we had a rather disappointing stay :(

This experience from this guest has never been experienced by any other guest, pertaining to the heat. The house has a fully functioning whole house furnace that is controlled by a nest thermostat (maybe they didn’t know how to work) also on each floor there is a separate gas fireplace that is thermostat controlled. I do admit the fan blower on one fireplace can be annoying. Heat in the house is super sufficient even for winter conditions. I also want to add that we have corrected the internet as we were on the waiting list for starlink, now streaming is not an issue. With each guest if there is an issue please reach out for linens or questions, I am happy to help accommodate.

Beautiful home in the woods

My family and I had such a great weekend. Close enough to the lake to enjoy all that it offers. But far enough into the woods to avoid all the crowds and give you that real cabin in the mountains type of feeling. What a beautiful place. It was a big plus for us that every bedroom has its own bathroom. Very well stocked. Just careful with the bears.

Location, location, location. This house is completely brand new in the inside/out and has the feel of Tahoe! Close to the slopes and Lake Tahoe. For the outdoors person, Tahoe National Forest is steps away with a vast trail network for winter and summer uses. No visible neighbors on either side, makes this house private.

What makes this property unique

This is a great house for multiple families or guests. With the studio having a full kitchen, living room and deck it makes having your own space an enjoyable stay. The additional living room in the main house also has an area with 3 twin beds, which has access to their own bathroom, separate from the two suites.
In the winter, sledding is just out the backyard. Truly a favorite spot for the kids!
