As the title suggests this apartment is hard to beat. The large terrace overlooks the Fontana canal and a marina for small boats. From the terrace there are incredible views in every direction - to Cabo San Antonio, the Arenal beach and Cap Prim, the Fontana marina and magnificent Montgo and the mountains beyond. The terrace is a year round sun trap with sun from dawn to dusk but with welcome shade from the sun in summer. Here is the perfect place for relaxing with a book or just watching the world go by and, of course, al fresco dining. Inside, the triple aspect of the apartment makes it a bright and airy space to enjoy in every season. My personal favourite seasons are autumn and winter with fewer tourists, warm and sunny days and cool nights - probably becase I dont like beaches very much!
The apartment is newly renovated to an exceptionally high standard with a modern, well equipped kitchen, a dining area and comfortable living area with a smart tv and satellite tv. There are three bedrooms (one king, one double and one single) and a modern shower room and a cloakroom. The apartment is perfect for 2, 3 or 4 people (5 adults is a squeeze I think). The single bedroom doubles as an office should you need to work while away.
Just a few minutes pleasant walk by the canal (not really a canal, more a marina) along Calle Canal Norte brings you to the sandy Arenal beach and the wealth of restaurants and bars that cater for all budgets and preferences. There are also numerous small shops and boutiques and several supermarkets within a short distance. A twenty minute or so stroll along the sea front passing several beach bars brings you to the port area of Jávea, again with innumerable bars and restaurants and plenty of shops. Javeas' delightful old town is well worth exploring and is a short drive away or take the tourist ¨train¨ (see below)
Hiring a car to come from the airport to Javea is not necessary and a short break there is no need, in my opinion, to have a car. There is a transfer service from the Alicante to Javea with a drop off point 5 minutes walk away from the apartment (ask me for details) and in the main tourist seasons there is a tourist 'train' that does the Arenal, port and old town circuit, passing by the apartment and with a stop a few minutes walk away. Should you decide to rent a car ask me for a recommendation.
For families with teenage children this is the perfect place to stay. With the beach and the Arenal promenade an easy 5 minute walk away teenage children can have some independence in a safe environment while the parents enjoy their holiday. There are also several bar/ restaurants with swimming pools within a short walk where visitors can enjoy the pool for the price of buying a drink.
Please note that the price varies depending on the number of guests. The base price is for 2 people. The property sleeps up to 4 adults and one child. I only accept children over the age of 6 (but please contact me to discuss). I prefer renting to mature adults as this is definitely not an apartment for parties and noise should be kept to a minimum! Please see the separate section aout house rules including quiet hours. Only people registered to stay are allowed to stay overnight.
The Valencian region allows rentals of up to and including 10 nights with my tourist licence. All guests will be registered with the Interior Ministry and I will be obliged to request details from you in order to make the registration. Rentals of longer periods are currentlly allowed and you will be asked to sign a short term holiday rental contract and, if staying for longer than 28 days, pay a months' refundaable deposit in advance which has to be deposited in the governments' account.
