Harbor Daze - Hot Tub! This charming three-bedroom, two-bath home offers an open living area, private backyard with fire pit area, and a large deck with spectacular views of Southwest Harbor. Immaculate and comfortable, it is an ideal place to just relax or use as a home base for all your vacation activities. Whether you are in the fully equipped kitchen, sunny dining area, or relaxing on the couch, the nautical motif, cathedral ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows provide a light and airy feel and great views of the harbor. Sit at the desk in the loft to write out your postcards while taking in the view. Enjoy the sunrise over the harbor as you sip your morning coffee on the deck and watch the harbor come to life. Then enjoy all that the island has to offer, but be sure to be back in time to catch the breathtaking sunset. As the sun sets behind you, watch the light illuminate the boats in bright white with a pink glow on the entire harbor.
Soak in the hot tub after a day of hiking, biking, swimming, sightseeing, shopping and adventuring. Hot Tub, Cable HD TV and wifi internet.

Situated on the "quiet side" of the island, you can enjoy the real Down East Maine away from the crowds, but still be within minutes of world-famous Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor.

You can explore all that the park has to offer by yourself, take a guided tour or take Mount Desert Island's Island Explorer bus, available to the public free of charge! Harbor Daze is on the Island Explorer bus route...destinations include just about anywhere you want to go on the island.

Wide Range of Fun Activities: There are a number of outfitters located on Mount Desert Island that rent bicycles and kayaks as well. Just ten miles to Bar Harbor and you can enjoy a wide variety of activities from the most relaxed to the most rigorous, dining for all tastes and budgets, and shopping in many unique shops and galleries. Come in the Fall-Beautiful Foliage, lower rates! The months of September and October are a fabulous time to come to 'Harbor Daze' House. The rates are lower, the crowds have left, the weather is comfortable and the foliage is spectacular!!

This is our second stay at Harbor Daze; that in itself explains our high ratings.We prefer the “Quiet Side”of Acadia. Access to Carriage Roads is easy and popovers at the Common Good is a must whenever we are in the area. This is a great nonprofit supporting the local community.The house was clean and the hot tub was a treat after biking ! Communication with Amanda was easy and incredibly fast. We are likely to return again !

Perfect location to enjoy Acadia

We loved everything about our stay. From the kitchen having what we needed, to the hot tub and fire pit being just what we needed after a day of hiking, to the comfortable living area, it was all as advertised and perfect for us. We loved being on the quiet side with just a short drive to what we wanted to do!

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. The house was very clean and had all the amenities that we needed. Amanda was very prompt on responding to any questions and providing us with different options to see and eat. Southwest Harbor is approximately 20 minutes from Bar Harbor. It is a real quiet and quaint area. Watched the sunrise at Seawall. Drove all around the island. Food was great. bar Harbor is busy, but beautiful. House is across the street from a large marina. Nice sort walk to see it. We would recommend this place. Thanks

Location, location, location!

My family and I loved staying here! It was centrally located to many of must sees on the island and it’s located in a quaint little harbor - Southwest Harbor. It’s walkable distance to shops, restaurants, and downtown area. The hot tub was great too after a long day exploring. Pictures are accurate and the rental was clean. Check in/checkout was simple and easy.

Beautiful property!

We had an amazing time during our stay! The property is very clean, spacious, and has pretty views from the windows and deck. The location is fabulous, close by to restaurants and coffee shops. A great home base on MDI.

We had an excellent stay at Harbor Daze this August. The house was extremely clean, functional, and had everything we needed to cook and be comfortable for the week. The highlight was coming back from hikes and bike rides and being able to soak in the hot tub! The house had nice views of the harbor and was close enough to walk to a few places for dinner, which was really nice.

Great place. The only complaint is that the cable didn’t have signal so we couldn’t watch movies at night. House was clean and comfortable. Location was great and we really enjoyed eating dinners on the deck.

Comfortable home away from home

Four adults were more than comfortable in this beautiful harbor home. We walked to town, supermarket was close, marina/harbor views were lovely, and the hot tub felt amazing after our long hikes in Acadia. Kitchen and home were overall well stocked and Amanda was very responsive. We loved it! Hope to return someday.

Wonderful week at Harbor Daze!

We had a wonderful week in this very comfortable, sunny home. It was great to be able to walk to the bakery, restaurants, etc. and to have a view of the harbor. We enjoyed hanging out in the hot tub at night after hiking and having blueberry muffins for breakfast out on the deck. I hope we'll be back again soon!

Gem in Southwest Harbor!

We had a fantastic stay at Harbor Daze! We’ve been to SW Harbor several times in the past and this location and home did not disappoint. Extremely comfortable for our group of 6 (4 adults and two older teens). The one double bed was a little tight for a couple but we made it work. The kitchen was extremely functional and the location with a beautiful view of the harbor made for an easy short walk into the center of town. Would happily stay here again on our next return visit!

Staying in Southwest Harbor

We found that the property was well maintained and contained just about everything that we needed. Our grandchildren in particular liked the hot tub. When we needed extra chairs for around the table for dinner, our host was quick in delivering them to us. We enjoyed having a meal on the deck and found that we could easily walk into town.

Great family vacation

We loved it, we were sad the lobster place across the street had closed but loved Beals instead! We walked for ice cream each night. The tv was nice for the olympics, the kitchen was well stocked and we made lobster twice! Hiked and spent the days at the park, we had people from age 6 all the way to 82 and everyone enjoyed it!! comfortable beds!!

Harbor Haze Haven

We recently completed a week vacation on MDI and stayed at Harbor Haze. It was wonderful! Southwest Harbor is a quaint little town and a good home base for exploring the beauty of Acadia. Harbor Haze had everything we needed / wanted and was within walking distance of town. Should we be fortunate enough to return to this area, Harbor Haze will definitely be on our short list.

A lovely spot!

We have stayed in Southwest Harbor many times and love it. This house is beautifully kept up, amply supplied, and the responsiveness to questions or concerns is terrific. It's very close to town, which makes it easy to walk in for meals and fun. That also makes it rather noisy, as there's a lot of road traffic.

We enjoyed the entire home. Everything was perfect. The home was spotless. Comfy beds. Kitchen stocked with all your needs equipment wise. Heat and A/C worked great. Great, quiet location

Everything was as described. It was just my husband and I that stayed and there was PLENTY of room if we would have been traveling with others. The washing machine didn't work, but the host was accommodating with an alternative solution while we were there. If we ever come back to the area we'd definitely stay here again.
