My family and I had a fantastic vacation at this home right on the beach. It’s exactly what we wanted where we could see the beach in the ocean from our windows. We had beach days and drinks and dinner up on the top third floor deck. We had an amazing birthday dinner for my husband and had friends come visit. It was perfect to have a beach day with all of us there. The location was amazing. We could walk to just about anywhere and it was great to have air-conditioning and a garage. We will be back.

This was our second stay and we’ll book it again the next time we bring the kids and grands to San Diego. Great location and a comfy house with lots of bedrooms and outdoor spaces overlooking the surf and the boardwalk.

Curtis was fantastic and brought us a couple guitars for some Christmas carol serenading at the promenade in front of our home. So fun. The hot tub was grand. The beach proximity was the highlight. Everything we needed was included with the house.

PRO's:  the caretaker was punctual,  friendly & helpful.  The owner responded timely to inquiries as well throughout the stay. Optimal location: walkable distance to Belmont and the Chrystal pier with a corner store, multiple restaurants, Coffee houses, Ice Cream shops,  and bakeries. The upper deck had a great view of the ocean.   Some of the family enjoyed the 3rd level roof top, hot tub as well. For guests who can't do stairs, the 2 downstairs bedrooms are fairly large. Public free parking was relatively close. (reg. lenght pick-up aint gonna fit.) Beach Chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, Broken Umbrellas we jerry-rigged. ;-)CON's:  This home was not clean by any standards & I really don't think it was cleaned professionally prior to our stay at all.  Kitchen countertops, sink, microwave, coffee pot, grimy cabinet faces, moldy showers, unswept floors, wall decorations had layers of dust, etc. Couple that with the downstairs fireplace mantel covered in black soot that fanned out to darken the roughly patched ceiling which is flanked by very worn-out furnishings, the house gives a very run-down, dark feel-contrary to pictures advertised.  T.P., paper towels, hand & dish soap, garbage liners were limited or just not available. Not a big deal but reflects the level of hospitality granted.  Long story short, home fit our needs, plenty of space, proximity to stores and once cleaned, our stay was enjoyable. Yet, I would not stay again unless the mentioned issues were remedied.
