Quiet, beautiful view. Loved seeing the sunrise and dolphins from the deck in the morning, and tortoises on site. Easy beach access, clean and crisp inside.Note to bring soap and conditioner with you! :)
Our host was very informative about our stay with directions and the gate app to enter property. The condo was clean, spacious and had a great view. We had everything we could possibly need. The only negative that was not the host’s fault was the bathrooms by the pool were locked. We enjoyed our stay!!
We enjoyed our stay!! It was the perfect getaway to relax and unwind. The condo was perfect and met all of our needs!! We will miss the beach and our wonderful view from the condo.
We had a wonderful stay. It was exactly as described and pictured and was quiet and comfortable. The property and beach was clean and easy to access. We would definitely stay here again. We absolutely loved the area from historic downtown, Fort Clinch, Main beach, lunch at Sliders Grill to all of the small surf shops we visited. I would also recommend a drive south to Talbot Island, Fort George and Manning Island.
The condo is well kept up and well stocked. It has a nice location close to the pool and the beach. Communication was excellent and I appreciate Gordon being readily available whenever I had questions. Harris Teeter is only about a mile away and easy to get to.
Great location on the beach and a view of the pool. Host alerted us to broken chairs prior to arrival. Beautiful well equipped condo. Great restaurants nearby.

This condo is exactly what we were looking for to find relaxation and sunshine. Loved walking the beach, relaxing at the pool and exploring the island. It was an wonderful vacation.
This condo was very clean and well maintained. Beautiful views of the ocean from the big picture windows and from the balcony. Great beach access. Very roomy accommodations.
It was a perfect week made better with a wonderful place to stay. Everything we needed was available and any questions I had were answered promptly! Just what I needed.
We enjoyed our stay, especially the sunrises! Condo was very clean and equipped with all our needs. Could've used more washcloths but otherwise- perfect!
This is my second time staying at the property and it was perfect for a quiet beach vacation. The condo was very clean and had all the amenities one needs for a week away!

About the host
Hosted by Gordon Dinsmoor
We live right off the island and have always loved being here! In our free time we like to spend our days either on the beach / at the pool or on the boat....anywhere near the water. We take pride in our ownership of our villa and hope that you will enjoy your time with us.
Why they chose this property
Surf & Racquet is perfectly situated on the south end of Amelia Island- just down from the Ritz-Carlton and north of the Amelia Island Plantation- and it remains a "secret spot" among those in the know. Our busiest times of year are from March through mid August and the amount of people here during that time is a fraction as compared to places like Daytona, Jacksonville Beaches and especially Hilton Head (we've spent a lot of time in these areas). To the south of the island, you will find the undeveloped Talbot Island (award-winning state parks) and to the north, you will find Historic Fernandina, birthplace of the modern shrimping industry and past playground of families such as the Vanderbilts, du Ponts, and even Edward Teach (Captain Blackbeard).
What makes this property unique
Our villa is totally renovated and updated- to our tastes- as we lived in the condo after downsizing from a residence. We hope you enjoy your time with us!
