Great Vacation home

Fantastic location in the heart of Flanders. Close to the spring classic bike races, breweries and WWI memorials. The host is friendly and informative and the property was perfect for our group of 7.

Lovely week in Flanders

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful, but unusual house. Frans went to so much trouble to ensure we were welcomed and shown around. The property had everything we needed, the courtyard and outdoor furniture was also most welcome in the sunshine.

Great House -Great Location

The House/Building is very big. You have quite some rooms, but you can also have your privacy during nights due to the various rooms/integrated sleeping areas. The location is great, since it is in the middle of the small city centre in a very nice street. Thanks for the stay.

A lovely week

Frans was very welcoming from the start, and in excellent English. We were given a very comprehensive tour of the home and it's history. The accommodation is very convenient for all local amenities and the very beautiful market square with the cafe's and hotels. We found the accommodation to be very clean , well equipped and comfortable beds. Diksmuide has it's own history which is well worth exploring. The town is in a central location making it east to visit the coast, museums and historic sites.

Excellent high-quality relaxing stay in ideal location

Our stay began with a very friendly and generous welcome from Frans who introduced us to the property and explained all we needed to know. The accommodation has been thoughtfully planned out and built to high standards, including eco-friendly design. The spacious home offers comfortable and flexible indoor and outdoor spaces. Especially good for large groups, - a good range of bedroom spaces for quiet and private rest, along with big, bright lounge, kitchen and dining areas for the group. The location is perfect for a mix of exploring the historical town centre and for quick access to a myriad of walking and cycling routes, or for a trip on the river. It’s also a convenient base for trips further afield – Bruges, Flanders Fields sites, the Belgian coast and plenty more. Overall, this was an excellent and relaxing stay, thoroughly enjoyed by all the family. We hope to return!

Belgian Surprise

Great property - perfect for a large family/group. Property was modern with good facilities and excellent wifi. Linen hire was available through Frans. Courtyard was a suntrap and quiet. The beer provided was well received by our group - thanks Frans! Parking was easily accessible close to the property. Hardly used car as railway station in close proximity and had excellent connections to Belgium and France. Diksmuide had excellent bakeries and butchers and an excellent bar for our young adults. Bike hire available in the town. A brilliant location for our excursions to the Olympics, but gave us so much more than we were expecting. A fabulous place to stay.

Séjour Dixmude

Déplacement professionnel pour les commémorations de la bataille de Dixmude. L’hébergement est très bien situé proche du centre. Le propriétaire est disponible et très arrangeant concernant les modalités pratiques pour percevoir l’hébergement.Je recommande vivement cette location.

Hallo Frans,vielen lieben Dank für die überaus nette Begrüßung und den herzlichen Empfang.Wir haben uns sofort wohlgefühlt. Wir waren mit 6 Person als Familie im Urlaub. Alle Personen im unterschiedlilchen Alter. Man kann sagen, jeder hat sich wohlgefühlt. Da wir Person mit körperlicher Einschränkung dabei hatten, wurde uns kostenfrei ein Duschstuhl zur Verfügung gestellt. In der Küche war alles da was man so brauchte, kennen wir von anderen Ferienwohnungen nicht. Hat uns sehr positiv überrascht. Der kleine Brunnen im Freibereich machte bei gutem Wetter eine schöne entspannende Atmosphäre! Für größere Familien oder Gruppen sehr geeignet. Wir bedanken uns für den tollen Aufenthalt und können dieses Objekt sehr empfehlen. Grüße aus Deutschland Oliver

Sehr zuvorkommender Gastgeber, der alle wichtigen Informationen für einen abwechslungsreichen Urlaub parat hat. Das Haus ist bestens ausgestattet und liegt sehr zentral. Wir haben uns die Woche über sehr aufgehoben und sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wunderbares Wochenende in Belgien

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in der Wohnung von Frans. Kleinere Probleme wurden zeitnah gelöst. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön, wenn auch etwas ungewöhnlich geschnitten. Für Familien mit kleineren Kinder ggfs. nicht so gut geeignet, da die vier Wohnungsteile nur über einen Innenhof verbunden sind. Für Urlaub mit älteren Kindern/mehreren Erwachsenen wunderbar. Danke Frans, besonders für das Eis und die vielen Ausflugstipps!

Een leuk huis op een toffe plek. We hebben genoten van de zee op fietsafstand, de vaartocht met fluisterboot op De Blankaart, lekkere broodjes en gebakjes van de plaatselijke bakkers dichtbij. Een aanrader.

Perfecte vakantiewoning

Heel mooie en leuke vakantiewoning, in het centrum van Diksmuide. Alles is aanwezig voor een super leuk verblijf en alles is perfect in orde. Heel vriendelijke gastheer, waar je alles kan aan vragen. Echte aanrader voor de streek. Ik zou niet verder zoeken. Dit huis is de beste optie!
