The Loft, Inverness - a conveniently placed city apartment

The Loft is a newly decorated (Feb 2022) charming 2 bedroom first floor flat conveniently tucked away 2 minutes' walking distance from Inverness City Centre and only 30 minutes from spectacular walks in the Highlands. The Loft is perfectly located whether you're looking for a base for touring the Highlands and Islands or a city break for wining and dining.

The accommodation comprises 2 bedrooms; the master bedroom is a Double and the second bedroom can be configured as a King or Twin room to cater for any combination of visitors. The light and airy decor in The Loft gives a cosy but light atmosphere with a hint of Scotland in every room. The living room is spacious enough to accommodate at least 4 people easily and provides a great atmosphere to relax in after a long day in the city or on the hills.

Access to The Loft is via the garden to the rear and up the external staircase. As you walk into the apartment, the hall leads you to the kitchen on one side and twin/king room on the other, both of which overlook the garden. Further down are the lounge, master bedroom and bathroom.

The Loft is not equipped for young children and as such is 'unsuitable' however if you would like to bring your own travel cot etc. we are more than happy. We do not encourage pets in the property as we do not have rights to use the garden downstairs. However, pets may be considered on an individual basis.

Loft minutes walk outside Inverness

The loft was an excellent place to return to after a long day of exploring the Scottish Highlands. Only a five minute walk away from the hubbub of the city, it is easily accessible and yet not right in the middle of everything. Dean and Liam are very accommodating and easy to communicate with, and even left a booklet with restaurant and activity recommendations. Would recommend to anyone going to Inverness!

This apartment was crisp and comfortable! there were 4 of us, all adult sized even tho one is still in high school. We were comfortable. The washer does not do double duty as a dryer. There are radiators to help dry the clothing. I know we packed with plans to wash 1/2 way thru vacation... but the radiator system is not new to us, and worked VERY well! It was a little bit of a walk to get to the center for meals/shopping, but We did see buses go by us too. We just didnt use them correctly. I have a bad knee, and managed well. It was an overall good stay! and would definately find this ad for this apartment if we think about going again. :D

Perfect location for city break

Basic apartment on a busy main road. The road and neighbours below very apparent whilst in The Loft. Nowhere to hang any clothes due to the only wardrobe in the property being used as storage for supplies and cleaning materials etc. Online listing stated there’s a dishwasher; there isn’t. Not a fan of washing dishes whilst on a break away. Mattress on main double bed passed its best and has a dip in the middle. Sheets and linen are dated and could do with being updated. Basic amenities catered for and fine for 2 nights. Washing machine not functioning properly. Batteries inside remote controls for DVD player and stereo completely rusted and dented. Location in terms of vicinity to the city and attractions is perfect and was the main positive attribute.

Thank you for your honest review. Disappointingly, I was unaware of many of these issues as no other guests have brought them to our attention and we encourage our guests to send us private feedback to allow us to maintain the apartment to a good standard. Based on your feedback I have done the following: 1. I have amended our listing as the dishwasher should not be on the amenities list. 2. I have ordered a new mattress for the double bed at the front. 3. Sheets and linen are all white to avoid dating but I will review and purchase new linens to replace those that are dated or worn. 4. I was unaware of the washing machine problems and will get this serviced. 5. The batteries in the remote controls have been replaced. Thank you for your feedback.
