La Saleina apartment (41sqm) is ideally located between the Brevent lift, and Chamonix centre, with direct access to skiing, climbing and hiking on your doorstep as a short stroll down the hill to the centre of Chamonix itself. The apartment is one of 6 apartments in an old traditional townhouse, and has spectacular views from the lounge and balcony overlooking Chamonix and facing Mont Blanc & the Aiguille du Midi.

The open plan living room is attractively furnished and benefits from a breakfast bar in the kitchen and a large corner sofa (with double sofabed) and armchair in the lounge area. There is also a table and chairs on the balcony too. The kitchen has a full size oven, hob and and fridge freezer, plus Nespresso coffee machine. For entertainment there is a Sony music system with bluetooth connectivity and you can enjoy the full cinema film experience with a projector and screen which is fitted into the ceiling. WiFi internet is provided and there is French & some international TV channels and access to Netflix.

The bedroom has a double bed with open shelving, hanging space and drawers under the bed. The bathroom has a shower, sink, & WC, hair dryer plus a washing machine and separate clothes dryer.

Outside there is communal parking for the building (6 spaces). There is a communal ski room or room on the balcony to store your skis.

La Saleina - Great all round place to stay in Chamonix
Very nice clean, bright, well positioned apartment 5 minutes from the centre but far enough away to not be disturbed. The owners have clearly done more than just leave an empty shell like some apartments are, and it feels like home. The balcony is great, views of Les Drus, the Aiguilles, Mont Blanc and over the town. Interesting to watch the various people wandering up and down the hill from the balcony. Plenty of hot water etc good shower and the knives are actually sharp which is amazing for a rental property. Nice windows looking up the valley towards Argentiere direction and La Floria Chalet - when the white flag is flying they are open. There is a telescope to see this. The projector/screen etc are fine, bluetooth tv sound a little complicated but everything worked. Washing machine/tumble dryer both modern and clean. 2 mins from town one way, 2 mins from the Brevent lift the other way, so you're halfway up a small hill, ideal position. Nothing bad at all, the owners have good taste and its a top apartment.

Amazing stay
Excellent location close to Brevent ski lift and town centre. Excellent, accommodating and friendly hosts. Amazing apartment fit out - fantastic amenities (best shower I've ever had!!! great projector tv, excellent kitchen) great mountain views, very well equipped with appliances, condiments and wine, well insulated for heat and noise, radiators work well. Loved the little welcome pack and detailed accommodation and surrounds information. Highly recommend!

First and foremost I'll try to be as impartial as I can be in this review. We stayed at the La Saleina Apartment for 2 weeks. It is ideal for 2 people. It has all the amenities a person could ask for in an apartment (the kitchen is very well equipped). It could use a bit of minor repairs (shower leaking at the bottom of the doors, could use a fresh coat of paint, and the big rug in the living room could be replaced), but other than that, the apartment is in good shape. Having a washer and dryer made our life a lot easier (they work very good). The location of the apartment is great, it is approximately 500 m. to Joseph Vallot St. (the pedestrian street). You are only a 10min. walk to the train station, or going the other way about a 12min. to Aiguile du Midi. One thing to keep in mind, this apartment is locate on a hill. The location might be an issue for somebody who has difficulty walking or limited mobility. Another thing to consider about the location is how close the apartment is to the street and how close the bedroom is to the street. As mentioned, the apartment is on a hill, the bedroom is located on the hilly side, so people coming down from the street can see right inside the bedroom and if they stop by the apartment their heads are almost level to the bottom of the bedroom window. The apartment is not located on the side of the sidewalk, but during the 2 weeks, we were woken by people standing on the corner of our apartment 8 or 9 nights. You hear everything!!! If you're a heavy sleeper or are used to the street noise, then this would not be an issue. I gave a 4 for cleanliness because I had to vacuumed the area rug within the first few hours we had moved in. It had not been properly vacuumed, and the shower drain was clogged with hair. I had to clean it twice, or else the water would have overflowed out of the shower. The people from CAY are very responsive and are easy to deal with. We ran out of propane for the stove on Saturday evening, Sunday morning somebody came to replace it. During our first week, we had a mouse come into the apartment, the next day a maintenance guy took care of it. Overall, we would return we had a good experience. 8/10

Wonderful apartment
The people at Chamonix all year are very responsive quick and getting back to you with answering your questions. The apartment had a wonderful view and is well located. Huge TV screen. All new kitchen and bathroom and everything you need for a wonderful stay.
