This charming terraced cottage is situated right in the heart of the quaint fishing village of Flamborough, just a mile from the beaches of North Landing and South Landing, and two miles from the famous Flamborough lighthouse. It is called Coble Cottage after the local coble fishing boats.
Please note: Last minute short stays are welcome, but please give at least three days notice so that the cottage is at its best for you.
Set over three floors, it offers spacious accommodation with its three bedrooms, including a stunning four poster double master bedroom, a comfortable twin room and a lovely quiet double room at the top of the house. With an open fire in the cosy living room and a wood burning stove in the dining room, you’ll be able to keep toasty and warm, wherever you choose to relax on those cooler evenings. And if you don't want to light the fires, there is gas central heating throughout.
The cottage has a well-equipped kitchen and a bathroom with toilet and over-bath shower, and outside there is a handy shared courtyard. The cottage is pet friendly, so you may bring your well-behaved dog to share in your break, with the local beaches in Flamborough dog friendly all year round. There is also a choice of games, books and DVDs for the whole family to enjoy.
Coble Cottage could be just the place to enjoy that picture-perfect holiday. Come in spring and early summer to catch a glimpse of the famous puffins or guillemots along the cliffs, or from the local RSPB nesting grounds at nearby Bempton Cliffs. Visit in the height of summer to try out the multitude of local walks along the stunning coastline, or to build sandcastles on one of the local beaches with the children. An autumn or winter break would be perfect in this cosy cottage, which is open all year round, with the convenience of pubs and restaurants right on the doorstep and a local Co-op just around the corner. There is even a village post office nearby.
Flamborough boasts one of the oldest lighthouses in England, as well as a working lighthouse originally built in the 1800s. Sewerby Hall and children's zoo is just three miles away and there’s plenty more to do in local towns like Bridlington, Filey, Scarborough and further afield.

That's lovely! So pleased we could help you enjoy your holiday. Please keep returning.
We stayed in the cottage last year and decided to come back because we enjoyed it so much. The property is homely and very well equipped. The location is great and parking is easy just outside the front door or round the corner. We will be back.

We hope you will be! Thank you for your kind review.
We loved this cottage. It is a delightful property with everything you need. The location is brilliant being so close to the shops, pubs and a restaurant (literally just yards away.) Being able to park outside or round the corner was also very convenient. Ian and Lesley are lovely people and very helpful if you have any queries. We will hopefully be able to return soon.

Thank you for such a glowing review! We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay.
The cottage is well placed in the centre of Flamborough village with pubs and shops close by. There was a white van parked on the road outside the whole time but we parked either on the side or front a few doors down fairly easily. The rooms were surprisingly spacious for a cottage and we were very comfortable. My husband wants to thank the owners for the storage- every room had a proper wardrobe and there was a shoe rack and a coat rack which was great. I found entertaining the kids on rainy days easy as there was a radio and cd player, dvd player (both with lots of discs) and games in the dining and living rooms. They even played shop at the stable door to the courtyard. The kitchen was well equipped although the oven was a bit dirty and we had to wash the cutlery and some dishes before we used them. The bedrooms had lots of pillows and extra blankets which were occasionally needed. The information for visitors was really useful and Flamborough itself was a lovely little place. We went on lovely walks to North and South landing beaches and took short drives to the lighthouse and Sewerby Hall. We played pitch and putt at Sewerby and enjoyed the zoo. On our last day we drove into Bridlington which wasn't nearly as nice but had good amusement arcades.

Thank you for writing such an extensive review. We are so glad you enjoyed your time at the cottage and in the area - you had a busy few days!
Sorry about the oven and the cutlery/plates. You are welcome to stay again and explore more of this beautiful area.
Wunderschöne Strände in 10 Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen und viel zu sehen in der Umgebung. Das Haus war etwas älter aber hatte seinen Charme und alles was man braucht.

Thank you for your review. Yes, this is an old fisherman's cottage so has quite a bit of history.
Stayed in October, very lucky with the weather. Fab clean spacious cottage in the hub of the village. Pubs, shops, takeaway. Loved the open fire in the evenings. Fully kitted out. Cooked a Sunday roast for four people with no problems. Ideal for walks for all abilities. Beautiful beaches. Will definately return.

Thank you for taking time to write this lovely review. I think you meant travel cot or stairgate rather than playpen, but we do cater for the little ones. You are very welcome to come again.
On our arrival we noticed the property had not been cleaned..The kitchen, ...bin was so dirty there was fungus growing. Sink brown with stains, crumbs over the counter coming from the toaster. Bathroom toothpaste in the sink , soap residue in the bath., toilet needed cleaning ...spoke to the owner hoping he would take note of how is properly was being looked after, his response was..”I’ve spoken to our cleaner who says you broke a table lamp , so we will leave it at that

We take any complaints very seriously and we offered you a partial refund after you got in touch at the end of your holiday. When we asked our cleaner (who was very upset at your comments) she told us she cleaned as well and efficiently as she normally does and that she found our antique table lamp broken on the floor after your departure. We appreciate that things occasionally get broken but we do like our guests to be honest.
Booking and communication with the owners was very good. The one or two minor issues we had whilst there were quickly resolved by the owners. Well equipped cottage with all necessary information readily available for the guests. The village is lovely with some of the friendliest people I've ever come across. Fabulous walks and sights nearby. Would definitely consider coming back.
