Enjoy this beachfront vacation condo on tucked-away Holiday Isle while close to Destin,
Florida's main thoroughfare. This stunning spot is part of the Emerald Coast in Florida's
panhandle region. Unit #508 at The Islander, accommodates up to 6 people with a king bed in
the master bedroom, 2 twin beds in the guest bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living
room. Your private balcony is equipped with 4 chairs, a table and a lounger and overlooks the
pool and the white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. Some days, you may even see a
dolphin playing in the surf. Your rental includes free beach service with 2 chairs and an
umbrella provided and set up by the on-duty beach attendant. The property has two heated
pools, two hot tubs, a Gazebo with BBQ's, Shuffleboard, Pickleball and Tennis courts.

This unit features updated decor, and hardwood floors, with a sofa, love seat, recliner chair and a
42" flat-screen TV in the living area. Free WIFI is provided. The dining room table seats 6, and
there are 2 additional bar stools at the countertop. The updated kitchen has new stainless
steel appliances, granite countertops, tile backsplash, Plantation shutters, tile floors and light
fixtures over the sink, offering openness into the living room with a view of the Gulf.
The well stocked kitchen has all the cookware and dinnerware for your needs. Both bedrooms have new
suites with complementing bedspreads with new mattresses, carpeting, mirrored closet doors,
Plantation shutters and ceiling fans. The guest bedroom has a 40" flat-screen TV, and the master
bedroom has a 32" flat screen TV. The master bedroom also has a safe for guest use. Both
bathrooms have granite countertops, new fixtures and tile floors. The master bathroom has
double sinks and a walk-in shower. The guest bathroom features new cultured marble walls in
the tub. Both bathrooms have hair dryers.

All linens, including beach towels, are provided for your use and can be exchanged at the
Laundry Room on the first floor. Washers and dryers are available in the second floor Laundry
Room.

The Master Bedroom mattress could use an upgrade. both sides of mattress have a dip where you lay and a ridge in the middle. Foam pad could help.

Reviewer Comments: The unit was very clean; Couch and chairs in living area quite comfortable, kitchen small but efficient for short stay (knives are excellent, which is very unusual for rentals). Master bed very comfortable, but pillows need upgrade. Sleeper sofa very disappointing with springs missing and mattress quality low. Gulf water is beautiful but beaches are very crowded (of course, our stay was during July 4 weekend so this was not unexpected). Pools are kept quite clean, nice pickleball courts, no other amenities to speak of.

The remodel of this unit was everything the owner claimed it to be. The view was absolutely picture perfect, one that I'm framing. The resort grounds were beautifully maintained, the pool and hot tub were clean every day, the grill area was lovely and located right by the ocean, and the walk to the beach from our condo was convenient and short. Having two beach chairs and an umbrella available to us on the beach during our stay was wonderful and greatly appreciated. Our family had zero negative comments about our accommodations and the resort. We will be back!!! Thank you so much!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo 508 had a lovely view of the ocean. The confo was clean, but it was not the most updated condo. In the kitchen, the utinsel drawer stuck and squeaked when you opened it. The resort amenities were very good, except the basketball court is on the tennis court, and that interrupted our play. They had eight pickle ball courts, which were nice but not all used at the same time, so one of them should really have the basketball court. The two pools were lovely, but a little warm in July. The location was lovely, the sand was very white. The ocean was very clear and the temperature of the water was perfect. We were close to the west harbor to watch boats go in and out. We also watched fireworks there over the harbor on Thursday night. The condo only gives you two rolls of toilet paper, and a couple packets of dishwasher soap everything else has to be bought. Overall it was a very nice place.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Room was clean but has a dark ambience to it. The Islander property as a whole is starting to feel run down after coming here for 10 years. Elevators are outdated, one was non-functional the entire stay. The other feels likes it’s going to stop working any minute. The bathrooms by the pool were not working and closed. The stairwells by the trash chutes were dirty and had remnants of people’s garbage liquid stains on them. They ran out of space at the beach one day that they had to put our umbrella and chairs near th trash can furthest from the water that was possible. It was a disappointing stay this time for sure.
