About this property
Newton Cottage, Amberley Cotswolds
Summary:
Newton Cottage is a quaint and homely cottage built out of local stone in about 1750. It sits in the heart of the southern Cotswolds with many opportunities for hiking, cycling and leisurely walks. The cottage is the perfect place for a quiet getaway and allows easy visits to local towns and villages such as historic Nailsworth, Stroud with its famous local farmer's market and ancient Roman Cirencester. There are easy drives of about an hour or less to cities such as Cheltenham, Gloucester, Oxford and Bath. The cottage is less than 10 minutes drive for Gatcombe park, the home of the Festival British Eventing. The railway station is five minutes away with high speed train access to London in about 90 minutes.
The Space:
It has a large family sitting room and dining area with a modern kitchen and bathroom on the lower level. Upstairs there is a master bedroom with a queen size bed and a smaller bedroom with comfortable full size adult bunk beds. Outside there is a patio garden and terrace with fine views over the adjacent hills. The cottage is equipped with modern amenities such as a cooker, microwave and combination laundry machine with tumble dryer. The property has central heating throughout and all heating and electrical bills are included. There is a modern LED television with DVD player and WiFi is included.
Newton cottage is extremely well laid out and flexible accommodation; ideal for a family of 4, couples or friends.
Guest Access:
Our guests have private use of the cottage , a small driveway or roadside parking for 1 car and private garden.
The Neighborhood:
The village has a great local pub and surrounding villages offer a variety of choice. Minchinhampton village and common is in an area of natural beauty and surrounded by rolling hills, Cotswold stone, sheep and beautiful villages.
Great base for a trip to Gifford Circus - it is much more than a Circus, it's a magical nod to old fashioned circus with a glamorous twist.
Getting Around:
We have a small driveway or roadside parking for one car.
The Cotswolds is a rural location so it is highly recommend using a car to get around the area.

About the host
Hosted by Kirsteen

Hi there! My name is Kirsteen, and I’ve been living here in Cotswolds, for the last 20 years.
I love home interiors and period properties, meeting new people and familiarising myself with other cultures. This is, essentially, why I’ve decided to become a full-time Airbnb host. I’m enthusiastic about outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, and even a little bit of surfing
