Along the coastline you have the towns of Whitby, Scarborough and Robin Hood’s Bay. For anyone interested in history you have the stately home of Castle Howard, Helmsley Castle and Walled Gardens, or even Eden Camp, which was a prisoner of war camp that has since been transformed into a museum. Children will be delighted with a day out at Flamingo Land theme park and zoo.
After a busy day of exploring this is the perfect base to return to for a cosy stay. The owner of this property also has Katie’s Cottage on the other side of the town, around a 10 minute walk away. Beach 20 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
