Arhontia is a beautiful newly constructed villa located in Ageliana village in the Rethymno area. It is an ideal choice for families and groups, offering modern amenities while being surrounded by a region rich in natural beauty and local attractions.

Mooie villa met alle comfort in rustige omgeving.

Een week verbleven in deze goed uitgeruste en comfortabele villa. Mooi zwembad en goed onderhouden tuin met voldoende privacy. Schoonmaak midweek met lakens en handdoeken. Goede communicatie met eigenaar, die snel reageert bij kleinere problemen. Rustige ligging, dichtbij Perama voor inkopen. Stranden op minder dan een half uurtje rijden, maar ook de zuidkust is makkelijk te doen. Ideale uitvalsbasis voor mensen die van rust houden en tegelijk in de buurt van strand en stadjes willen verblijven.

Wonderful home from home

We had a two week stay here and loved it! The pool was so clean (and maintained well as the pool guy turned up several times during our stay) , we had cleaning service twice. A week and it was such a peaceful location! A great base for exploring we drove to Heraklion (about an hour ) , Chania (about 1.5 hours, Bali beach (30mins ), lake Kournas (30 mins and so good we went several times …perfect if you love paddle boarding or swimming in the clear lake) and rethymno was our local large town (25mins)and was just wonderful! So many shops and restaurants and bars and a beautiful ancient harbour! The owner was so lovely and gave us some of his wonderful olive oil and was very helpful. We didn’t eat in the local village but there were several tavernas serving food and they looked pretty lively in the evenings . We definitely recommend this place if you want a beautiful base to explore Crete, and have complete privacy fm.

Nice second week at Crete (after first at hotel in Rethymno)

Hosts (Kostas&Joanna) were very friendly and communicative - welcomed us with Kostas sister - lovely Maria. So were gardener Kostas and his wife Georgia. Hosts/gardener gave us tips about propoerty and things to do in surroundings. Gardener cut the grass before our arrival and before our "check out". Also gave us knife to bread after we told him it's missing - hosts gave new ones on our departure. Pool cleaner arrived one time (on Saturday) after hosts visit. Hosts gave us olive oil (twice - arrival/departure) :) We had a good friend (neighbour) Dimitri who gave us fruits/vegetables from his farm :D There is a bakery very close to the property - the rest can be bought in supermarket close to the church. Pool depth is from 90 cm (good for small kids) to 140 cm. Kitchen very good equipped - a lot of utensils :) Trash bags provided :) Ice cubes maker in freezer & big fridge :D Hosts provided tablets for dishwasher. Salt/rinser aid might improve dishwashing ;-) Θα θέλαμε να ευχαριστήσουμε τους οικοδεσπότες, τον κηπουρό και τον γείτονα για όλα :D
