La Tinaja de Gaucín by Ruralidays

Holiday home for 4 people in Gaucín, in the province of Málaga, Andalusia.

Beautiful house located at the southern end of the town with beautiful views of Gaucín and the ruins of an Arab castle from the 10th century.

The ground floor has a living room with a wood burning stove, dining room and kitchen that leads to a patio where there is a small pool and a portable barbecue.

On the first floor are the two bedrooms, one with a double bed, a bathroom with a bathtub en suite and a terrace and the other with two single beds, a bathroom with a shower en suite and another terrace.

The house is only a few minutes walk from different local shops, tapas bars and restaurants and due to its location it is also an ideal place for excursions to the surrounding white villages.

Relaxing spot

Excellent getaway if you want to take it down a notch and just relax. We love Gaucin and this was the perfect place to enjoy a few days away.

The plunge pool was great for cooling down, the views from the top terraces over the campo de Gibraltar were amazing and sitting up there with a glass of wine in the evening was a perfect end to the day. Bar El Zorro, a few steps away had a great menu that changed every day. A beautiful place in a beautiful part of Spain.

Stepping back in time

This little old townhouse is amazing. 3 floors incl rooftop terrace. Everthing is cosy and authentic and in a very good condition. Gaucin is beutiful and "slow". Perfekt place to step down in gear, and relax. The "pool" in the house is very small and cold. But there is a fantastic big outdoor pool in the town, and it is open for everyone. A little "fun fact" if you go to YouTube and search for Gordon Ramsay Gaucin, you will see him savning a restaurant just 10 meters from the frontdoor of this house. The place is closed now, but you can get a feeling of the place. :-)

Con las altas temperaturas de estos días, el lugar preferido estuvo la pequeña piscina... El acceso en coche está un poco dificil pero hay un parking cerca.

Die Casa war sehr komfortabel und sauber, Josefi war eine wundervolle Gastgeberin, sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit in dieser Villa. Das Tauchbecken war toll zum Abkühlen, die Aussicht von den obersten Terrassen über den Campo de Gibraltar war fantastisch und abends dort oben bei einem Glas Wein zu sitzen, war ein perfekter Tagesausklang. Die Bar El Zorro, ein paar Schritte entfernt, hatte eine großartige Speisekarte, die sich jeden Tag änderte. Ein wunderschöner Ort in einem wunderschönen Teil von Spanien.
