A little place of heaven ...

A group of us rented the villa over Easter. Upon arrival our doubts were put to rest, the villa is as beautful as the pictures. Rosanna was extremely helpful, providing us with a good overview of the region with a list of restaurants and recommendations of supermarkets and places to visit. Alviero, was fantastic. While he is not fluent in English, with the help of google translate we were able to easily communicate. He even popped by over the weekend to ensure we were comfortable and see if we needed anything. We hope to visit again soon!

Sehr schönes ländliches Appartement mit schönem Pool

Wir haben mit unseren zwei kleinen Kindern den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Absolut empfehlenswert. Die Erfrischung in dem sehr gepflegten Pool war überaus angenehm. Tolle Lage für Exkursionen.

rip with Kids and Great Grandma

We stayed at this beautiful farmhouse in April of 2018, and had a wonderful experience! My husband and I brought our two girls, aged 2 and 4, and his grandmother. The house had more than enough space, was well equipped for cooking, and had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves. We rented a car~which is a must to easily see the area. We took many day trips...drove to Sienna, Montepulciano, Cortona, Florence and many others! One day we easily took the train from Castiglione del Lago to Rome. It was great to have a house with a kitchen as a home base for exploring the beautiful area. We had a wonderful vacation and would love to return again someday. Alviero was very kind and helpful~this place is great!

traumhafte Lage, nostalgisches Ambiente und schöner Pool

Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen. Es waren nicht immer alle Wohnungen besetzt, so dass wir viel Freiraum für uns hatten. Mehrere schöne, schattige Sitzgelegenheiten um das Haus herum - auch Hängematten und Hollywoodschaukel, so dass jeder sein Plätzchen finden kann. Kühler Aufenthaltsraum mit Tischkicker, Billard und Tischtennis, gern genutzt von den Kindern. Unsere Wohnung (Papavero) ist mit antiken Möbeln einfach, aber ausreichend ausgestattet. Sehr sauber. Die Schlafzimmer hell mit tollem Blick. Einzig das Doppelbett etwas kurz und die Matraze durchgelegen. Ein Hinterausgang führt schnell zum Garten und Pool. Alviero kommt täglich auf dem Gelände vorbei und ist bei Problemen ansprechbar oder telefonisch erreichbar. Vermieter spricht nicht viel Englisch, so dass wir uns mit dem Wörterbuch beholfen haben. Fahrräder haben wir nicht genutzt, sind aber vorhanden. Waschmaschine ist für alle frei zugänglich und es gibt mehrere Wäscheständer. Viele Ausflugsmöglichkeiten. Mit dem Zug nach Rom in 1,5 Stunden. Auch Assisi lohnt eine Ausflug. Castiglione del Lago ist ein nettes, mittelalterliches Städtchen mit fairen Preisen und authentischem Flair. Wir hatten einen gelungenen Sommerurlaub und sind dankbar für die gute Zeit in der Villa La Fontana.

Great Views

A wonderful tranquil place, wonderful views looking out pass the swimming pool, the olive grove, the valley, lake and hill towns beyond. The villa had everything we needed. It is close to some of the best hill towns in Tuscany and Umbria. Rosanna was so helpful and energetic, making sure everything went well for us. I would recommend it as good base to enjoy holiday in Umbria and Tuscany

Super dejligt sted. Roligt, idyllisk og fantastisk udsigt til Umbriens flotte natur!

Kæmpe lejlighed(øverste lejlighed), dejlig ren pool med god plads, fint spillerum med Pool, bordtennis og bordfodbold. Super stor terrasse og wifi.Rigelig plads til f.eks. 2 voksne og 3 børn. Wifi kan være lidt ustabilt, men bedre end forventet. Eneste mangel er en aircon i soveværelserne, som bliver ekstremt varme, men vi har også været her i juli med ca. 35 grader i gennemsnit. Kan anbefale turen til Cortona, Siena og Montalcino. Tripadvisor er en uvurderlig hjælp til restauranter med ekstra god mad og service. Mvh. Maria

Stunning views/plenty of space/lovely pool

We spent a week at this property. The views are stunning - both during the day & at night. We were a party of 6 and there was plenty of room for us. The pool is a great asset and our party spent a lot of time in it. ì There is also wi-fi - a must for all of our party. The villa is approx a 5 minute drive from Castiglione del Lago, which is lovely small town and on the ferry route for boats around Lake Trasimeno. There is a good LiDl supermarket in Castiglione del Lago. We recommend this property to family groups/groups of friends

Das Haus liegt sehr schön am Hang. Es ist ruhig. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alviero, der "Hauskeeper" ist sehr kunden- und serviceorientiert. Die Lebensmittelversorgung vor Ort muß geplant werden, denn das nächste Geschäft ist ca. 3 km entfernt. Der Aufenthalt vor Ort ist ein Traum. Wir werden wieder kommen.

Wir waren über die Osterfeiertage zu Gast mit zwei Kindern in der Villa La Fontana und haben den Urlaub in der Villa, mit ihrem schönen Garten und tolle Auslblicken aus sämtlichen Zimmern sehr genossen. Nette Vermieter, sehr zu empfehlen.

The place was exactly as described, very nice place to stay in or as a base to make visits in a wonderful area (Florence, Siena, Rome, Assisi, Cortona, ...). Rosanna and Alviero welcome you with a thick guide to interesting places and their best spots to eat, everything is aimed to make things comfortable and easy, cycles, pool, baby-foot. We really enjoyed our stay.

Idyllic place

The Villa La Fontana is an idyllic place for a holiday, perfect for family or groups of friends. The beautiful and spacious house has been tastefully restored and furnished and there are stunning views from both house and garden on all sides. It would be easy to spend the whole holiday enjoying the peace and beauty of the house, garden and pool, but there are lots of interesting and scenic places to visit in Umbria, Tuscany and Lazio within easy reach. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone else.
