Casa Rondini, lovely apartment on the ground of organic farm, infinity pool

We offer newly renovated apartment to rent in the Umbrian castle not far from the village of Montegabbione. The apartment has a large front and back terrace to catch the morning and evening sun, and a private separate entrance. Spacious with large sitting-room and adjoining fitted kitchen has two bedrooms and a modern bathroom. Large infinity swimming pool is 16-8 meters from 0 to two meters deep, surrounded by pine trees and a garden with large steps on one side safe for small children and elderly.
This two-bedroom/one-bath apartment rental is situated in the countryside, and features views of the Tuscan and Umbrian hills and the medieval towns of Monteleone and Montegabbione.
This is one of the downstairs apartments we have available. We have also 2 upstairs apartment to rent and apartment in the separate casale with a private garden.
This area is an ideal departing point towards the most beautiful art cities of the central Italy. It's 35 km to Perugia, 20 km to Orvieto, 110 km to Rome, and 120 km to Florence.
Our working organic farm produces organic extra-virgin olive oil, organic wine and saffron.
We offer free seasonal organic fruits and vegetables as available from the garden.
We have fresh eggs daily from our free-range chickens.
Special cooking evenings :: Those who enjoy making and eating Italian specialties is welcome to join us on the special cooking evenings: - making your own pizza in the stone oven - making fresh pasta - enjoy special saffron recipes
Casa Rondini is in the midst of a multitude of small medieval towns with ancient historic and cultural works of art. Within comfortable reach of the stunning cities of Perugia , Orvieto, Cortona and Assisi Casa Rondini is truly a delightful place for pure relaxation, family fun and cultural pursuits.




What to do and see in the local area:: Enjoy visiting nearby medieval hilltops towns and admire the work of many renaissance Italian artists.
Visit La Scarzuola - The Ideal City created by Italian Architect Tomaso Buzzi on the ground of a 13th century Franciscan convent. Visit chocolate and sweet factory where famous Baci are made. Trips to the local caves Tane del Diavolo can be arranged. Incredible property, incredible host. Host Franco cheffed a five star dinner using fruits and vegetables organically grown on site. Hen house laid our eggs for self cooked breakfast. A bit of a ride to alternative sightseeing, but for a romantic, peaceful picturesque retreat - this ariturismo experience is absolutely one of the best!!

Absolutely loved it!

This had been far our favorite place so far in Italy. Having two bedrooms and the beautiful surrounding with the dinner Franco made us was just divine. I highly recommend his place. Great location for day trips in Umbria.

It was a really pleasant stay, the hosts are marvelous and take care of everything. Highly recommended to join one of their food evenings, we really enjoyed the pasta evening. They also offer produce, wine, olive oil and fresh eggs produced on the grounds - and some of it even for free. It's also well suited for travel as the A1 is not too far away. We enjoyed going to Citta Della Pieve just a few kilometers away a lot.The pool is great and quite large. It was one of the highlights of the day!

We loved our stay here

We had a great time here. Our daughter said it was the best part of her trip that included stays at many other places. The property is beautiful and has beautiful vistas - having a porch to enjoy the views was wonderful. But the hosts are what makes it - they were very hospitable and provided experiences we did not have elsewhere; they were also very kind and patient with our children. The dinners they hosted were the best! The nearby villages are not ones you’ll find much about in the guidebooks, but we enjoyed them more than many of the better known ones because they were not as crowded with tourists. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The real deal!

This agriturismo is the real deal. When we arrived they were harvesting the last of the grapes for their wine. The wine is fantastic! They also offer olio oil harvested right on the property from the multitude of olive trees. The apartment was fantastic! Spotless and well kept with lots of room. The pool was absolutely beautiful. The terraces were so nice for relaxing. Not far from Orvieto and Civita and from the train line that runs to Rome. They also have chickens and rabbits that just had babies. This is an all around beautiful place and the hosts were fantastic!! A must see!

Wir hatten zwei traumhafte Wochen in einer der oberen Wohnungen des Haupthauses. Sehr schöner Ausblick, hervorragende Ausstattung. Großzügiger Wohnraum mit anschließender Küche, es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Die Vermieter sind überaus nett und hilfsbereit und sprechen sehr gut Englisch. Pool riesig und sehr gepflegt, viele Liegen, Auflagen und Schirme. Am besten hat uns das gemeinsame Essen am Abend mit anderen Gästen gefallen, sehr gemütlich, und Franco kocht hervorragend! Uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen!

Wonderful stay on the farm

We spent a week on the farm exploring all the upper Umbria and souther Tuscany offer...too much to do and see. Lovely medieval towns all within close proximity, 5 to 30 minutes you can get to Perugia, Assisi and more if you want or don't miss Citta della Pieve, or Orvieto (which we are glad we did not go to during holiday....can't get close to it! Franco and Bozena were great hosts, very welcoming from the beginning when we met Bozena. She offered places to go, eat and we enjoyed fresh eggs from the hens as well as Franco's wonderful Rosso! We cooked quite a bit there, and even though it lacks some items, we made due with what they had and had a spectacular Easter dinner of oven roasted chicken, aubergine, roasted tomatoes and fresh made pasta. They have wood for the fireplace which we used every night as it was a bit chilly at night in mid april. But no rain so we can not complain. The vistas are overwhelming from all points of the farm and area, you wont be dissapointed. The only thing I would change would be the beds, maybe they were new but very hard...I guess those who like very hard would be okay, but difficult for my sleeping and pillows hard also. Stay in the upstairs apartments, as views are great, a bit more quaint as downstairs more modern and a little different layout. Grazie to Franco and Bozena!

The location was perfect – deep in a beautiful countryside but in the same within quick and comfortable reach of the stunning cities of Perugia, Orvieto, Rome and Florence.
