Wonderful stay near the Amazing Zingaro Reserve
We were a large group traveling from the US and Europe and met up in Sicily and we stayed here during the second half of our trip. Mimi Imperato who we communicated with couldn't have been more lovely or helpful. He was generous and hospitable and very friendly. Even before arriving at the house, we had a small medical emergency in our group and Mimi (the Dad) tried to help us find a clinic/hospital in Agrigento even. Once we arrived, he met us at the New York Pizzeria near the house and took us to the villa. It is quite secluded and very nice with a big garden and three separate houses/structures. We were a group of 10 and for part of the stay up to 13. The bedrooms are very comfortable and we all slept really well. We cooked, grilled and ate dinner all together around the table outside 3 out of 5 nights and since the neighboring villas were all empty (probably also vacation homes), there was no problem with having to keep the volume down. Alessandro (the son) was very flexible too about having a few extra people stay and he added a very reasonable amount per night . There are beds for 3-4 couples, two bunk beds, and a single room for 1; also we used the sofa bed for one night. The bathrooms are basic and there is one outside shower that was pretty nice to use. Overall I would recommend this place highly for the value, location, and the lovely hosts. Scopello is a really cute town for aperitivi, and the Zingaro Reserve is stunning. Also a day in Erice is highly recommended. There is a bakery also nearby that is good. Mimi gave us lots of veggies from his garden and called every day to check in to see if we needed anything. Grazie Mimi per tutto e per una bella vacanza!!
