We had a wonderful stay at Barn Owl's Rest.

We had a wonderful stay at Barn Owl's Rest. It's a gem of a place: comfortable and so very well equipped. A place to relax or enjoy whatever pleases you - walking in the spectacular scenery at Hay Bluff, the tour of Hay Castle, the bookshops and independent traders. We enjoyed a music event at St Mary's Church and were welcomed by friendly locals. The Brecon Mountain Centre is just 35 minutes away and Hereford 45 minutes.Anne and Kev are perfect hosts. They really care about their guests and want them to have a wonderful experience - we certainly did!

Beautiful cottage, Beautiful countryside.

Beautiful cottage, Beautiful countryside. Cottage is a real home from home every detail has been thought about all your comforts catered for and a few surprises thrown in for good measure.Hosts are very friendly kind and informative, I highly recommend this cottage for a peaceful and restorative holiday lots of hills to walk and if not feeling too energetic can enjoy the local town centre and many bookstores to browse around. My only reservations by recommending this cottage so highly is it will lower my chances of visiting more often.

Fantastic cottage.

Fantastic cottage. Fabulous location. Phenomenal hosts. What more could you ask for? The cottage is spotless throughout, it’s very comfortable, and it has all the mod-cons you’ll need - including very good WiFi - for an extremely relaxing, enjoyable stay. There is an abundance of wildlife near the cottage, and any birdwatchers are in for a treat with a wide variety of birds visiting the gardens. In addition, Anne and Kev are simply brilliant hosts; they’re always happy to answer any questions you might have about the cottage or the local area, yet they aren’t the least bit intrusive. If you’re looking for a haven of serenity set in stunningly beautiful countryside, then stay here - you will not be disappointed.
