Wonderful and quiet location, friendly host

The house corresponded exactly to the description on the web. It is in a very quiet location, it has great light inside every day, the rooms are spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. The contact with the hostess Mrs R. was always uncomplicated, a small water damage was repaired immediately. You immediately feel like a little lord of the castle and it was hard to say goodbye.

Locatie is geweldig. Helemaal alleen in de natuur. De eigenaar woont ongeveer 150m verderop. Elke ochtend je hond uitlaten zonder iemand tegen te komen. Zalig. Overal hertjes in de ochtend. Wat ons wel tegenviel is het gebrek aan comfort. Je zit op keiharde houten stoelen in de keuken. Er is geen bank om lekker in te hangen. Wel oude stoeltjes die hun beste tijd hebben gehad. De haard werkt maar half. Je moet een raam openzetten om niet in de rook te zitten. Als je de verwarming in de nacht wilt laten branden kost het je €10,- extra/dag. Wij zaten er met nieuwjaar dus hebben we dat toch maar gedaan. Om niet teveel te klagen, prijs/kwaliteit prima denk ik.

Supermooi huis! Heel schoon, de gastvrouw had koekjes en een bos bloemen neergezet als welkom. Ook lagen er ijsjes in de vriezer (al weten we niet of de gastvrouw of de vorige vakantiegangers die hadden achtergelaten 😁). De gastvrouw was heel aardig, is heel geduldig wanneer je weinig Frans spreekt (zoals ik 🤣). 's Morgens en 's avonds zie je reeën en hazen in het veld, echt supermooi. Kortom zeker de moeite waard!

Echt een heel mooi verblijf! Super schoon. Min punten zijn er wel. Met de gastvrouw maar een heel kort contact gehad, ze spreekt geen Engels dat is dan erg lastig communiceren. Alles gaat via aanplak briefjes op de muren in het Frans en Engels. Best wel ouderwetse voorwaarden op de aangeplakte briefjes. Super mooie inrichting maar lekker zitten dat is er niet bij. De fauteuils zitten echt slecht! Het ruikt erg muffig en het riool stinkt, zelf door luchten gaat het niet weg. Bedden zijn oke. Verder een prima verblijf gehad.

Het huis is in werkelijkheid nog mooier dan op de foto’s. Echt een pareltje! Tegenover het huis staat een leegstaand gebouw. De gebouwen worden verbonden door een hoge stenen omheining. De hond kon hierdoor veilig buiten rondlopen. Het huis heeft alles wat je nodig hebt tijdens de vakantie. Schoon, goede bedden, fijne douche en gezellige leefkeuken. Internet is ook goed. De zitkamer hebben wij niet gebruikt. Zoals anderen al aangaven is er altijd een plekje in de tuin om lekker te zitten. De vier extra tuin-/strandstoelen zitten ook fijn. Er staat in de open garage een houtskool bbq. Wij hadden ons eigen gas-bbq bij ons dus deze niet gebruikt. In de ochtend en namiddag heb je kans een haas of hert bij het huis te zien. Er zijn rondom het huis ook veel vogels wat een gezellig geluid geeft. Van de autoweg heb je weinig last. Supermarkten zijn heel dichtbij (5 minuutje rijden naar Lidl). Het vakantiehuis ligt zeer centraal voor uitstapjes in de mooie omgeving. Je zit in een half uur op het strand. Wij waren eerder lager in Normandië geweest maar vonden dit deel echt heel mooi. Eigenlijk mooier. Maar dat is persoonlijk. Natuurlijk speelde het zonnige weer ook mee. Maar er is genoeg om te zien en doen in de omgeving. De eigenaar is ook zeer vriendelijk. Helaas is ons Frans niet zo goed dat wij een gesprek konden voeren (gelukkig is er Google translate).

Haus mit Charme

Das Haus hat sehr viel Charme. Es ist perfekt zum Erholen und Entspannen. Trotz der Nähe zu Valognes ist es sehr ruhig und mitten in der Natur. Gleichzeitig kann man durch die Zentrale Lage viele spannende und abwechslungsreiche Ausflüge unternehmen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Sfeervol huis, vrij en rustig gelegen. Fris, schoon en ruim. Er lag – heel attent – een doos met heerlijke Normandische cake-jes als welkomstpresentje op de keukentafel te wachten. We hebben eigenlijk alleen de woonkeuken gebruikt, omdat je daar het gezelligst zat, naast de open haard, die we overigens niet echt goed aankregen met de wat te vochtige kranten en klammig hout. Ook trok de open haard niet zo heel goed. Maar goed, dat was uiteraard niet zo'n probleem. De twee slaapkamers (met heerlijke bedden) waren lekker ruim en bevatten in tegenstelling tot de beschrijving van Belvilla allebei een tweepersoonsbed (idd 140) plus een eenpersoonsbed. De badkamer was ook heel verzorgd, en alles was fris en schoon. Helaas was ons verblijf maar een weekje en hadden we ook nog twee dagen regen, dus we zijn voornemens om nog eens terug te komen omdat Normandie veel mooier bleek te zijn dan verwacht.

Tweepersoonsbedden zijn matig. Verder een prima vakantiehuis in fraaie omgeving en vriendelijke ontvangst. Omgeving is prachtig en zeer divers. Er is veel te doen! Het huis is vooral geschikt voor rustzoekers zoals wij. We komen graag nog een keer.

Wenn Sie in einem authentischen französischen Haus auf einem Anwesen übernachten möchten, ist Marende eine gute Wahl. Das Haus ist völlig frei mit umzäuntem Garten (gut für kleine Kinder und/oder den Hund). Drinnen ist es wegen der dicken Wände kühl. Die Küche ist geräumig und verfügt über einen riesigen Kamin. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, mit Backofen, Mikrowelle und Geschirrspüler. Auch der große Kühlschrank ist ein Pluspunkt. Der Salon ist „schick altmodisch“. Sogar der Fernseher ist nicht mehr neu. Wenn Sie den Chromecast nutzen möchten, nehmen Sie einen VGA- (MNL) und einen HDMI-Anschluss (VRL) mit. Oder abends im Garten sitzen. Die Schlafzimmer sind sehr geräumig, die Betten eher schmal und kurz, aber das soll den Urlaubsspaß und die Nachtruhe nicht verderben. Von Marende aus kann man bequem die gesamte Ost- und Westküste befahren. Route du Cap lohnt sich wirklich, die Supermärkte sind in der Nähe und Valognes selbst ist eine schöne Stadt.

Het huis was super prima bed beetje kort voor lange mensen maar ik ben 1.88 en was goed te doen .Alles aanwezig geweldige ligging op landgoed veel herten gezien om de woning heen , mooie uitstapjes gemaakt naar de stranden . Heel vriendelijke vrouw , de sleutel zat aan de binnenkant van de deur bij aankomst , beetje nadeel dat zij alleen frans spreekt . Kortom een aanrader als je van je vrijheid houdt . George Schlink

Property is in a lovely rural setting and our host was charming, We would say we would have liked a comfy sofa or two to relax on, the kitchen fireside is crying out for one, likewise the salon. The beds were comfortable and bathroom beautifully clean and spacious but shower on the weak side. Location is great for so many interesting places to visit, be it homes and gardens or WW11 experiences. The coastline is stunning and beaches amazing. We were very lucky with our weather too.

Fantastisch huis, oorspronkelijk 18e eeuws, maar van binnen van alle gemakken voorzien. Prijs/kwaliteit is dik in orde. Grote, afgesloten tuin, erg prettig voor de hond, en in de omgeving veel te zien. Van de D-Day stranden tot enorme kliffen.

Prachtige plek en goede uitvalsbasis voor allerlei uitstapjes. Vooral de wandelingen langs de kust zijn geweldig. Het huis (of eigenlijk klein jachtslot) overtrof onze verwachtingen. Schitterende tuin, zeer sfeervol pand. Alles erop en eraan. Volledig uitgeruste keuken en badkamer. Ruime slaapkamers. De bedden zijn alleen wat aan de korte kant. Wij komen graag nog een keer!
