LOCATION
Broadstairs is brimful of nostalgic old-world seaside charm, with seven sandy beaches to choose from - we're on top of Viking Bay, the magnificent horseshoe-shaped main beach, or head to Joss Bay to learn to surf, or rural Botany Bay to saunter amid towering chalk stacks. Keep on walking or pedalling to join the 25-mile Viking coastal trail. Clifftop walks, independent shops, galleries, restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs as well as small supermarkets, butchers and bakeries are all on your doorstep. Just inland, St Peter's village stages award-winning heritage tours, while in town explore Dickens’ haunts of Bleak House and Betsey Trotwood’s home.
There’s always a festival on: Blues Bash in February, Dickens Week in June, the Bandstand musicians throughout the summer, the Water Gala in July/August, Folk Week in August, and the Food and Drink Festival in October.
Only a few miles away you have Margate with Dreamland, Margate Old Town with lots of independent shops, restaurants, cafes, antique shops, and the Turner Contemporary gallery. In the other direction is Ramsgate with its Royal Harbour - take out a boat for seal watching or sea fishing, or just to watch the boats from its many cafes and bars.
For serious golfers there is the North Foreland golf course in Broadstairs and Royal St Georges golf course in Sandwich which was founded in 1887 and intended by its founder, Dr William Laidlaw Purves, to be a rival to St Andrew’s in the South of England. Royal St Georges is consistently ranked amongst the leading courses in the World.
Historic Canterbury is only a 30 minute drive or train ride away, with its spectacular cathedral, city walls, restaurants, shops and parks.
Step back in time at one of our nearby castles - Dover, Deal, Walmer, Leeds and Rochester Castles are all easily reached by car or rail in under an hour.

Please remove your shoes before entering to prevent damage to the carpet. Our close proximity to the beach means that sandy shoes are inevitable.

This was our second visit to Nickleby Nook and we absolutely love it. Gorgeous flat - well-equipped, pristine, super comfy and beautiful too. The location is fabulous and only a minute from Viking Bay which is a superb beach. Natasha is very communicative and attentive, and her thoughtfulness behind the whole experience is evident. We were sad to leave and can’t wait to return.

Lovely flat right in the centre of town overlooking the sea. Modern and clean with everything you need. Great hosts who were so helpful during our stay.
Delightful apartment a stones throw away from the beach Viking Bay, and right in the heart of old Broadstairs. Free parking nearby. Everything clean & cosy, kitchen well equipped with gift of breakfast items provided. Saturdays/bank hols can be a bit noisy in the evening but no biggie - join the fun! Pubs, restaurants all close by. Minutes walk to the lovely Dickens museum. Walked all the way to Margate along the sea shore - wonderful!
We've stayed here twice and both times its been perfect. Natasha is a great host, communications really clear and she is always on hand if you have any questions.
The flat has everything you could need, well cared for and spotlessly clean.
The location couldn't be better literally at the beach and all the pubs and restaurants.
Highly recommended

Thank you for choosing to stay at Nickleby Nook again this year Philip!.... we hope to welcome you back again!
We had a great time, chose the property due to its closeness to the beach. The buckets and spades provided were great. We appreciated the provision of milk, tea, coffee, shampoo and shower gel. The flat was super clean and the children couldn’t believe the number of tvs! The perfect mini break

We're so pleased you loved our apartment and it's location to the beach Nicola, we hope to welcome you back!
We loved the apartment! So wonderful to be the first ones in there and for everything to be brand new and spotless! Very stylish too. We stayed at the apartment as soon as Covid lockdown was lifted and people were able to stay in self catering accommodation again. We were only allowed to sit outside restaurants and cafes to eat and it was freezing cold but we took blankets and asked the restaurants to put our heated bean bags in the microwave! Being close to the centre of Broadstairs means it can be a little noisy at night as people walk home from an evening out. Not a big problem though. We enjoyed having everything on our doorstep! Also the road outside the property is fine for loading and unloading bags and places to park are only a couple of minutes walk away. However it is narrow and not a thro road so go slowly! We far preferred Broadstairs to Margate! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Thank you for your lovely review. We hope to be able to welcome you back in the future.
Really nice place to stay, right by the beach (could hear the waves at night) whilst also being in the thick of things. Great check in and communication with host. Hoping to test out a stay in spring or summer as, while there were some swimmers, it was a bit chilly for me! Everything you need in the flat and lovey and comfortable.
Lovely very spacious apartment, everything on doorstep as right in middle of town
tad noisy as pubs clearing at night but died down quickly
I love Broadstairs and been coming here for years!
gorgeous apartment with everything you need - perfect spot for people watching and lovely window seat with a sea view - thank you!

We are a family of five with three boys. We are the fourth generation of our family to regularly holiday in Broadstairs…we are sure you will love it as much as us and we hope that you enjoy and love our home as much as we do!
Why they chose this property
We already loved the location, the beach just a few meters away and being in the heart with everything on your doorstep, but we really fell in love with Nickleby Nook as soon as we walked up the stairs and saw the first view from the landing window.
