This is a ground floor unit that is right in the heart of Spaccanapoli tourist district. Very convenient. The neighborhood is very safe.Like many apartments in Italy, it is a sub-unit within a large old estate/pallazzo building. The entrance is through a large outer doorway and through a large shared courtyard/common area. Don't be put off by the entryway - the door is a large heavy set wooden door with a smaller "man sized" door set inside it. The outside looks very old and the alley way looks a bit dodgey. The door is in poor condition. Once you are in the courtyard the entrance is via an electronic door key pad. Very secure. Follow the entry instructions closely. The pone-time entry password expires - you need to use a key card from inside the unit thereafter.No windows, and quite small, but otherwise quite comfortable and well appointed. AC/heating worked well. The bedroom is in a loft up one flight of stairs.
