About this property

The Nest at The White Eagle: Luxury 4 bed holiday apartment, Rhoscolyn

A luxurious pet-friendly apartment with stunning views. It's the perfect base to explore the Isle of Anglesey.

Check In: 4pm | Check Out: 10am

The Nest at The White Eagle is a luxury pet-friendly apartment situated above the White Eagle Gastro inn, overlooking the bay in Rhoscolyn on the Isle of Anglesey.

A stay here won't disappoint family or friend groups who are looking for a comfortable and convenient base to explore the Isle of Anglesey.

Situated just a 10-minute walk (4-minute drive) to the beach and very close to the coastal path and The White Arch (Bwa Gwyn), this location gets more desirable every season, so don't miss out!

What's more, you don't have to walk far if you fancy lunch or dinner out. Highly-rated The White Eagle pub is just downstairs and serves high-quality pub food and real ales. What more could you ask for?

The incredibly spacious apartment has been newly refurbished in a rustic-chic New England style and affords breathtaking views of the sea and beach.

Living, Dining & Cooking

Enter into the property and you find yourself in the large open-plan kitchen-diner. There is a little nook to the left of the door where you can hang up your coats and hats, and store your shoes.

The gorgeous kitchen has everything you need to prepare a hearty family breakfast, a picnic to take to the beach or an evening meal if you don't fancy eating out.

The kitchen island is a great place to pull up a stool, pour a glass of wine and share the prep work whilst you chat with friends.

The dining room is set in a beautiful sunny alcove with large windows that let the natural light shine in. The dining table comfortably seats eight guests.

All in all, this is a fantastic space for entertaining, and then you come to the living room!

The living room in The Nest at the White Eagle is just divine. A perfect space for your whole group to chill out and relax after dinner with a movie, cards or just great company.

There are two huge comfy sofas and two snuggle up armchairs centred around a wood burner - ideal if you are here on an autumn or winter holiday.

The two Juliette Balcony doors to the front make the room bright and sunny. Open them out in the summer to let in a fresh breeze and take in the spectacular views to the coast and shimmering sea, while you enjoy your morning coffee and contemplate the day ahead.

Off the living room, you have a small utility cupboard and a small cloakroom which also has a toilet and sink.

The terrace

The living room leads out to a pretty sheltered roof terrace. Sandwiched between two rooftops, the terrace is an excellent suntrap and wind shelter where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and a sunset aperitif before you head out for dinner.

Sleeping arrangements

There are four bedrooms to select from and which are ideal for family groups, or two couples with children.

Located just off the kitchen/diner are two bedrooms: a super-king-size double bedroom and a bunk bedroom.

There is also a large family bathroom featuring a stand-alone bath, walk-in shower, toilet, washbasin, and heated towel rail.

Further along the corridor off of the living room, there are two more bedrooms: a twin bedroom (which can be made into a super-king if requested) and a super-king-size double bedroom, which enjoys the same incredible views as the living room. Lay in bed and drink up the views with your morning tea or coffee.

A second family bathroom features a bath with a shower over it, washbasin, toilet, and heated towel rail.

All about Rhoscolyn

Rhoscolyn is situated at the southwestern tip of Holy Island looking across the Irish Sea to the Lleyn Peninsula. Holy Island is a small island to the west of Anglesey, accessed over a road bridge.

The dramatic, rocky coastline is punctuated with pretty coves and inlets, and at the very southern tips is the beautiful golden sand crescent beach of Borth Wen (Borthwen). Backed by sand dunes, this is a great family-friendly beach with gently shelving sand down to the sea and lots of rock pools for maritime exploration with the little ones!

There are also scattered offshore islands surrounding Holy Island which make for beautiful and dramatic scenery.

If you are a water sports enthusiast, you'll love Rhoscolyn as there are plenty of activities on the water to choose from, such as kayaking, canoeing, diving and snorkelling, sailing, fishing, surfing and rock pooling.

If you are a keen walker or hiker, Rhoscolyn is an excellent base for exploring the Anglesey Coastal Path and the many paths which crisscross the island.

Two of the most iconic attractions of Holy Island are the natural rock formation arches of Bwa Du (black arch) and Bwa Gwyn (white arch), which can be accessed from the coastal path at Treardurr Bay.

Rhoscolyn and Holy Island are also renowned for excellent seafood and shellfish and The White Eagle is one of the best places to dine on the island.

Luxurious apartment
Fabulous, luxurious apartment above a great pub - what more could you want. And dog friendly too Gorgeous views and plenty of room. Lovejoy furnishings but could just do with a little more storage in the bedrooms

10/10 Excellent

Excellent. Could be noisy early in the mornings with deliveries to the fantastic pub downstairs.
Looked forward all year to this apartment and was not disappointed. It was clean and tidy and the kitchen was well equipped. Had a fantastic stay.

Lovely accommodation in a picturesque spot
The nest was a stylish and lovely accommodation with beautiful furnishings and within walking distance of a secluded beach…on arrival however upon opening the utensils drawer there was a really unpleasant smell . This was only resolved after thoroughly washing all the pans and the drawer… a dirty pan appeared to have been in there a while…..other than that the cleanliness was ok., but it spoiled our first impression of the place…..the pub below was busy and vibrant , a little noisy but we expected that.

Great Location with fair accommodation
We stayed as a family late May early JUne. Weather was fantastic and the pub below was very busy day and evening. Thought that the apartment would be noisy over the busy pub. But, no there was little noise to disturb us. Pub staff were very pleasant and helpful. Parking was a little bit of a problem on first day but with the help of pub management was soon sorted. Apartment was spacious with four bedrooms (one was a single with bunk beds), reasonably well decorated. There were a few niggles such as trying to find cutlery which was in a hidden draw in island unit and the induction hob was hard to switch on (a wet finger and some rubbing finally did the trick). There were some maintence issues such as cracked window and broken latch in kitchen window and broken slats (2) in "californian blinds". Provisions such as tea coffee, toilet rolls etc were a little sparse. The most disappointing feature was the outside space (terrace) which show nicely in online brochure, but was unusable, because of exhaust fans from pub, and not cleaned - bird droppings dust etc. Overall, we would stay there again because of location, but only if we were unable to find better accommodation. PS A more comprehensive list of instructions such as where to dispose of rubbish, location of cutlery etc would have improved the overall impression of the Nest.

Great Eagle
The Nest at the White Eagle is a fabulous place to stay on Anglesey with a family group. It was spotlessly clean and kitted out with good quality furnishings. The beds were superbly comfortable with really lovely high spec bedding. I normally take my own pillow with me when I travel, as I never find pillows in hotels and self catering accommodation suit me but the ones here were fab - my own pillow went back into the boot of my car. There is more cutlery and crockery than I have ever known to be provided in a self catering property where, quite often, you are rooting round to find enough knives or side plates or something else for all the guests that are staying. Everything had been thought of in the kitchen. The location is amazing with a super view of the coast from the front of the property and you are perfectly placed at Rhoscolyn for coastal walks and beaches if you want them. The Eagle pub below will also suit all your needs for food and drink and the MOST wonderful and kind staff who help to make your stay so enjoyable. I would happily return here anytime and would highly recommend it to anyone.
