The apartment is in a great location at the center of anywhere you want to go. Updated bathrooms and pretty clean.
Only downside was lack of hot water (which the sign in the bathroom says happens sometimes) and some street noise.

Dear Loreto,
I'm sorry that for two hours you had the problem of no hot water. This happens in all the buildings in the historic center. Fortunately, this happens very rarely. It happened to you for a couple of hours, on the whole of your 5 day stay. Furthermore, the apartment is located in one of the quietest alleys in the historic center. I think your judgment was very severe.
Anyway thanks for everything.

My family and I had a wonderful stay here for 4 nights - the rooms were clean and spacious, and the apartment was in the perfect location easily accessible by walking to all the major sites in Rome. The kitchen capabilities are limited, but we didn't end up cooking because of all the wonderful restaurants nearby. For being the in the middle of it all, it was relatively quiet, and the check-in/-out process was clear and easy, thanks to Luigi's excellent communication.

Perfect Location!
Our family of four just spent 5 days here, thoroughly enjoying Rome. We fell in love with Via del Governo Vecchio. The place is walking distance to the excellent gelato (Fridgidarium), wonderful pizza (Cantina e Cucina), and a grocery store (Carre Four) for when you want to eat in.
Very comfortable two bedroom apartment.
Walking distance to everything in Rome, from the Coliseum to the Vatican. And bus access it 2 minutes away, if needed.

This apartment is central to everything in Rome. It is spacious and has a washing machine. We were there during a very hot week and the air conditioning worked great. Lots of good restaurants within a few steps from the apartment. Only drawback is the lack of hot water. Be prepared to take cold showers. Check in was easy. Cant beat the location. I would stay here again.
This is a great apartment in a terrific location. The kitchen, which we used frequently, was well equipped, with a stove, oven and dishwasher! The air conditioners worked perfectly, which was a life saver, since we had record heat in Rome. Luigi provided prompt, reliable service, both before and during our stay - arranging transportation, providing great information, etc. All-in-all, we had a great stay in a charming apartment.

PERFECT SIZE & PERFECT LOCSTION
I cannot say enough about this apartment. The five of us loved the location - everything is within walking distance to restaurants, stores, and all of the sites of Rome. Alessia arranged for a van to meet us at the airport, then met us at the apartment even helping with the luggage, and arranging an early morning van to the airport. The apartment was well stocked with the necessities and very clean and quiet. We will return!!

Gorgeous apartment in the historic heart of Rome
The apartment was beautiful and the area was amazing! Just a short walk away from Piazza Navona (where we spent most of our evenings people watching and eating gelato.) The apartment has a large front room which was perfect for our family of four to play games, eat, and just hang out as a family. The decor is sleek and stylish. Two grocery stores nearby make it easy to cook at home (even though there are many amazing restaurants just a stone's throw away.) Overall, this was the perfect home base for our chaotic-yet amazing time in Rome.

Very Close to many attractions
Our stay in Rome was very busy with all the history and culture surrounding us, and it was nice to have a "home" to go back to in the evening. We went to the farmers market every afternoon and brought home fresh items for a picnic every night. This was a very nice apartment to stay in.
We had an issue with the door lock upon arrival, and within minutes we had a phone call letting us know what we were doing wrong. They were very attentive to our needs.
Thank you!

Great location but...
The apt is centrally located and is relatively spacious. It is about a 10 min walk to Piazza Navona, 50 yds to restaurants and less than 50 yds to a taxi stand, pharmacy and market. It is also less than a 15 min walk to Campo di Fiori. Location is very convenient.
Shower in the master br has very low and inconsistent water pressure. Also the mattress in the master br is very firm which was a problem with my hip injury.

Dear Dan
I am sorry for the problems to your hip injury
The mattress is new and has been bought in the month of February 2017.
I bought a medium-hard mattress to satisfy most of the needs of my guests.
As for the shower pressure, thanks for your notice
I'll call a plumber immediately to solve the problem.
I am very happy that apart your hip problem, you had a great stay in Rome

Beautiful apartment in the Pantheon area.
Great apartment in the historic Pantheon area with its narrow, cobblestone streets and good shops and restaurants. Short walk to Piazza Navona and also walking distance to the Vatican. Only steps from two grocery stores and a taxi stand. Only one gripe. Notices on the wall of each bathroom warn not to have two people shower at the same time due to the age of the water system in this aged building which is understandable but we had no hot water for the last 4 days of our stay. Brrrr! Still a wonderful stay!

My families experience in the apartment was excellent ! Can’t be more centrally located . The apartment was spacious for a family of four .
You weren’t kidding when you say everything is walking distance .
We walked to the coliseum ,Trevi fountain, and the Pantheon, and the Spanish steps. There’s a market very close by for basic essentials. The piazza Narvona was so nice to stroll around and people watch. We ate at a different restaurant in the piaza and each one was five stars.
Restaurants just around the corner as well
I felt like my family was visiting a family friends house. Great air conditioning - was very warm and humid during our short stay
Beds were comfy.
My family enjoyed our stay . Thank you
I would definitely return

Overall it was a positive experience. Let's start with the Location. You are 5 minutes walking distance from Piazza Navona. The Check-in process is flawless, they accommodate us for early check-in. The person in charge of the keys was available to answer any messages and very kind.
The only negatives things are cheapy towels, one of the showers clogs up and the rooms feel like 'old' and not super clean, That could be because the structure is very old.
Overall with a few tweaks, the apartment could be perfect and I am sure Luigi will take note of this.
When Back in Rome we will definitely re-consider on of his proprieties.

Should be a great apartment, but not clean
Location is very good, close to Piazza Navona, walkable to Vatican, close to Campo dei Fiori, adjacent to many good and reasonably priced restaurants. BUT THERE IS A PROBLEM. The unit needs a fresh coat of paint, and MOST IMPORTANT, Black Mold all over kitchen walls and needs to be cleaned - very unattractive, and a potential health hazard for individuals with allergies or sensitivity to mold. Clean-up would be simple with a mold specific cleaner and a scrubby pad.
Anthony F.
Stayed 4 nights in May 2019
Response from VrboOwner on 26 Mar 2020
Dear Antony,
I am very sorry for this problem. In fact it is not mold but simply coffee stains because the previous guest burst the coffee machine for having forgotten it on the fire. Unfortunately we didn't have time to paint the wall.
The thing that surprises me is that for some little stains of coffee on a kitchen wall you gave an overall rating of one in 5 stars.
You forgot all the assistance I gave you about your wife's booking problem. You forgot that I organized your transfers for you. As you said yourself, you forgot about the location and the rest of the apartment.
Maybe you have a moment of nervousness and I wish you to solve it.
Anyway thank you for everything
Loved the location in Rome. Close to most attractions. One big disappointment was the 41 steps to the apt. We are all 74 and above and have bad knees. I knew it was on the 2nd floor but I did not expect that many stairs. I would not recommend this place for anyone with knee issues. Also, we had difficult time regulating the heat and the hot water. We reported a broken toilet seat on the first day and it was not fixed or repaired when we left on day 5. The transportation arrangements to and from the airport was terrific.

This was our last stay of our Italian vacation. We were very excited, as the pictures looked great, and our previous stays were awesome. Unfortunately, there were some dramatic differences from our other stays. We were greeted by the property manager, and she showed us how to use the key, but no other information was shared. It is advertised as having the ability to use the sectional couches as a twin or bigger bed. The sections separated when you sat on them, so we were not sure how sleeping on them would have been possible. There was two bean bag chairs as well as the sectional couch, but as adults, bean bag chairs are very difficult to use. There was a used roll of toilet paper in each bathroom. One of the toilet papers was brown, and it was not usable. We had to go shopping for toilet paper and paper towels. The 2 other apts/houses we had stayed at came equipped in both the kitchen and the bathrooms. The ironing board was soaking wet from a leak in the ceiling, and it was unusable. The second bathroom was very small, and it consistently overflowed when you used it, every time. In addition, there was a note about when hot water was available in the building and how to use it. This was not communicated to us, except via bathroom note. Both bathrooms had old towels with holes in them. The bath matt in the master was very dirty on one side, and we did not use it. There were no additional linens available, one smaller bath towel and one small hand towel was all that was provided. That required us to use our one towel to clean up the water. We did use the washing machine, and we closed the door as it was very loud. During the cycle, the false door moved out of place, and we were unable to get the door open. It took us about an hour to jiggle this and that to get the door open. In the smaller bedroom, there was something spilled on the side of the wall, and it was not ever cleaned. The dishwasher was full of dishes that we had to unload. The glasses in the cupboard were so dusty, we had to wash them to use them. We were disappointed to say the least, and we decided to leave Rome early.

Ms. Keri changed her arrival time many times and in final showed up late and off check in time. Mrs. Kelli probably made a mistake in the booking thinking of booking an apartment with 3 double bedrooms for her group of 6 but my apartment has only 2. When Mrs. Kelli discovered this, it was very nervous and started looking for any kind of defect in the apartment. Our staff was available to solve her problems but not to go to the supermarket to buy the things she needed.
I recommend Mrs. Kelli, for the next time, to book a 3-bedroom apartment and to pay more attention when making a reservation.
Thank you
My family of (5) enjoyed our Roma adventures from this very convenient apartment. The location is superb, very close to vibrant restaurants and both the Campo and Piazza Navona. Towels and soap with shampoo were neatly stacked on the beds and we were greeted upon arrival to help navigate check in. We look forward to a future visit!

Best location in Rome but....
Absolutely the best location in Rome to see all the sites within walking distance. But the pictures on line are not accurate of the current condition and must have been taken immediately after a remodel because it does not look like that now. The floors are dirty along with the walls, mold in the shower, no ventilation in the bathrooms, the shower drain is clogged so it leaks out on the bathroom floor, the tiles are falling off on the shower bathroom walls and there is no heat in the back bathroom, lots of street noise, limited hot water, etc. We were there 3 weeks so we asked for clean sheets and a cleaning service after one week but the owner refused. He finally sent over one set of clean sheets halfway through our stay, which was very appreciated.. It could be a fantastic apartment with a thorough cleaning and painting!

Luigi is a very gracious host and had everything very organized. The apartment has really good space, a nice kitchen with full amenities, and a great location. 15 minute walk to Vatican, good restaurant options nearby, and a short ride to the Colosseum.
Apartment is pretty much as described though is a bit dark and entrance isn't the most scenic. Very comfortable beds and very quiet building so we slept great. Bathrooms weren't up to expectations but overall we had a good time.
Some simple fixes and we'd easily give it a 4

Dear Anonymous
you have written many beautiful things but your vote seems a little severe to me. Thanks anyway
Apartment is very conveniently located, walking distance to most of Rome's important sights. You will need to bring your luggage through a small door and up what in US would be considered the third floor. There is a lot of noise from the street, even if you close the windows, so if you are a light sleeper, it may be a problem. The apartment has 2 nice size bedrooms with one in-suite small bathroom, the other bathroom is next to the 2nd bedroom. There is a washing machine which in order to operate you need to open the valve on the side. No dryer but you can also use the laundry across the street from the apartment. We tried using the AC but were not able to turn it on. We didn't bother the manager with it, it probably works with some special trick.

This is a great apartment, in a great part of the city. I had reservations about staying here as opposed to a hotel, but I was mistaken. Luigi and his team provided excellent service and were quick to respond to my many questions.
You can experience living like a local here in this part of the city. There are little issues but they are just that, little issues and part of the deal. The access to the major attractions is outstanding and many good places to eat are steps away. There does not appear to be many hotels in this part of town, so you are spared that tourist “experience”. And the price is right. Say hi to the pallet guy who lives in the dooorway up the street.

We spent 5 days in Rome and this property was in a great location. Some great sights were in walking distance and there were so many shops and restaurants close by. Luigi was great to work with - he was very proactive, months before our trip, to ensure our stay would be enjoyable. This property was clean though a bit too cozy for 6 people. I would definitely recommend this property!
