Lovely, clean property in a good location
We had a short break in this property in February. It is a lovely, clean property in an ideal location for exploring County Durham. It's a short drive to Barnard Castle and around 30 minutes to Durham. The house itself is well equipped for 3-4 people and made a comfortable base for our break. We would stay here again if in the area.

If you can tear yourself away from this abode, a short stroll will bring you to the amenities of the surrounding villages, including a shop for stocking up the essentials and a selection of pubs and takeaways for when you don’t feel like cooking. Immerse yourself in your surroundings by exploring the nearby medieval Raby Castle set in a deer park, promising a wonderful family day out. Explore Hamsterly forest on your doorstep, from wildlife watching to stargazing, and adventure play for all the family to exhilarating mountain biking, there is something to keep everyone busy. Travel slightly further afield to Barnard Castle where further attractions are awaiting to be explored, including the Bowes Museum, Egglestone Abbey, High and Low force and the ruins of the medieval castle.
