About this property

Luxurious Barn Conversion in the Peak District

This stunning historic barn conversion is set in the heart of the Peak District National Park. With spacious living areas, exposed beams and luxurious touches (including a deluxe bathtub in the Master bedroom), this barn has been lovingly restored. Church Barn is set in a tranquil village, opposite a quaint playground, some 5 mile away from Bakewell town centre.
Church Barn is a luxurious rural escape in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District National Park. Part of this characterful accommodation is believed to date back to the 17th Century, and there are many original features as well as personal touches. Church Barn is a sumptuous yet rural haven which is intended as an antidote to hectic modern day living. That said, it is also equipped with many up-to-date features, such as fast wifi, power showers and a whirlpool bath in the family bathroom, to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Church Barn has 4 bedrooms:
- The Master Bedroom has a super king size bed and a deluxe free-standing bath
- Bedroom 2 has a king size bed
- Bedroom 3 has a king size bed
- Bedroom 4 has 2 single beds
The cottage also has two bathrooms, one with a family bath and shower overhead. The other bathroom has no bath, but a double width shower. Both have toilets and sinks, and there is an additional downstairs w/c.

From the Aga range cooker which greets you as you arrive, to the bath which you can enjoy without even leaving the Master Bedroom, though to the stone fountain in the courtyard garden and exposed beams throughout the oldest part of the property, we hope that you find yourself relaxing and feeling more in touch with nature during your stay.

NB The Aga cooker will not be switched on in the summer months (June - August) as feedback from previous guests has informed us that the kitchen can become unpleasantly hot during this season. A smaller electric hob and oven will still be available for cooking.

We also cannot allow the charging of electric vehicles from the internal plug sockets for safety reasons. Thank you for understanding.

Hello from Andrew and Rachael! We are excited to share Church Barn with you. When we first set our eyes on this cottage we knew it was somewhere special. On a rainy day in December we walked into the kitchen to view the house and decide if we were going to have a go a starting our own holiday cottage business. We were immediately greeted by the warmth of the Aga. We fell in love with the place and we saw the potential. It took us over a year to get Church Barn to the high standard we wanted to be able to offer to guests. We hope by the end of your break that you have fallen in love with our barn and this charming, restful area as much as we have.
