Just 8 miles from the popular market town of Leyburn, this hideaway boasts wonderful views over open farmland, and is in an idyllic location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors.

Exuding pastoral romance, Winsbury Cottage is perfectly equipped to deliver home from home comfort whilst staying in the Yorkshire Dales. Set within a working farm and surrounded by open fields, this cosy cottage invites you into a charming open-plan sitting/dining and kitchen area including a Smart television with DVD player for film nights in. The perfectly placed dining table is situated to make the most of the incredible views as you dine. Delicious meals can be created in the bijou kitchen, which is fully equipped with modern conveniences and a breakfast bar. With underfloor heating from a ground-source heat pump, you can be sure of a warm Yorkshire welcome, whatever time of year you visit. Climb the stairs to the pretty bedroom with an inviting king-size bed and en-suite shower room. Wonderful rural views await you from the bedroom window.

Outside, listen to the birdsong and take in all of nature in the south facing, private garden with seating area, barbecue and an extensive lawn, this is a magical spot. For those who prefer to explore on two wheels, secure bike store available on arrival via the owner.

Cottage to relax, refresh and recharge

Such a peaceful place to recharge. It would make an ideal location to write a book and let the mind wander with the views. Such lovely owners who really care about making sure guests are comfortable and enjoy their stay in a clean and homely environment. Will definitely be back.

"God's Little Acre"

They call Yorkshire "God's Own Country" and this must be "God's Little Acre" in the heart of it and ideally situated for touring the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Ripon, Harrogate and even the coast at Whitby. We had a fabulous stay here, Mary and Andrew are very welcoming, the cottage is beautifully renovated and has more than you could require for even a lengthy stay. The bed was really comfortable, the ensuite bathroom had everything we needed and the views outside magnificent. Go there! you won't regret it!

Blissful Dales retreat

Quite simply the best self catering cottage holiday one could have. Perfect for couples. Winsbury Cottage is beautifully decorated. The views are stunning and the location is a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle. Mary and Andrew are exceptional hosts. The kitchen is equipped to a high standard and household essentials are generously stocked. Winsbury Cottage is clearly loved by Mary and Andrew, who take great care to make guests welcome. We are already planning our return visit.

One of the best

Winsbury cottage is ideal for couples wanting to relax on their own. The cottage was immaculate on arrival and decorated to a high standard. Lovely bedroom and bathroom and the views across the dales were magnificent. The hosts Mary and Andrew were very accommodating and welcoming. Would definitely book again and recommend to friends and family.
