About this property

Self catered Daphnes cottage #1 with large veranda and garden near the beach.

Daphnes cottage #1 is a semi-detached apartment able to accommodate up to 4 people with space for an extra baby bed. Bedrooms have twin and double beds. The bathroom has shower and WC. The kitchenettes are equipped with fridge, electric 2 ring cookers, kettle and toaster, coffee machine and is suitable for light catering.
The accommodation has a safe and air condition and ventilators (fans). The large furnished veranda makes a lovely dining and living area. The cottage is cleaned every 7 days, fresh linen changes upon request. It's possible to make other arrangements suited to your needs. This house are set in a large olive grove with another nine cottages away from the road. A beautiful garden with lots of flowers surrounds the buildings emphasising the over all atmosphere of peace and quiet.
There is a natural playground for the children and lots of space in the garden to put up your hammock, play boule or to move out the dinner table from the veranda for a lunch in the shade of an olive tree.

Beautiful Introduction to Zakynthos

My girlfriend and I started our first stay on the island here. We are very low-key, off the beat and path type people, so Daphne's Villas were a great stop. These villas are about 40 years old with all the original infrastructure still intact. They have charm, great hosts, and are on a large piece of property that resembles paradise. It was quiet, relaxing, and close to 3 great beaches, all within about 15 minutes apart from each other. In addition, we found great food options and bars that were no more than 20 minutes away.However, if you plan on booking here, be prepared to have doors that have small gaps under then along with windows that do not have screens. We were unwilling to open the windows and doors in the evenings because of this small detail as we despise mosquitoes. We resort to AC which we would have wanted to avoid since every night there was beautiful!

Dear Yianni, Thank you for your review. It was a pleasure having you and your girlfriend as our guests. I am sorry I didn’t inform you better on how we deal with mosquitoes and the heat here. We do have electric insect repellent devices in every room which secures the inside of the house from any disturbances by midgets or mosquitoes. Even with open windows. We also provide large mosquito nets for the beds if anyone prefers that. When the sun goes down we recommend our guests to open up all windows to get in the cooler evening air. Sitting outside on the veranda or in the garden after sunset you will usually need a repellent spray to use on your arms and legs. We, Maria and Dionysis Tsilimigras, moved to Zakynthos and started building Daphnes villas in 1986. There are now 10 cottages. During these years we also had two children and have developed the garden and the cottages to be a natural part of our farming life as olive oil producers.
