About this property
Sea Poppies - sleeps 8 guests in 4 bedrooms
Key Features
Perfect seaside retreat close to Thorpeness beach Close to iconic Thorpeness Meare and famous golf course 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms Enclosed large gardens with patio furniture and BBQ Playroom TV and Wi-Fi Dog friendly
Description
Sea Poppies sits on a quiet road just a stone's throw from all the attractions of Thorpeness, including the famous House in the Clouds, the windmill, the Meare (a lake with rowing boats and kayaks you can hire to explore its many islands and even a pirate's fort!), ‘The Dolphin' pub, golf club, tennis courts, the fens… and, best of all, the beach!
Sea Poppies has a large and sunny open plan living room/dining room/kitchen, ideal for families, but perfect for smaller groups too. The living room has triple aspect windows and patio doors opening onto the rear garden. The spacious garden faces south/west and is sheltered and secluded – perfect for playing and for relaxed lunches and evening barbecues.
There are 2 double bedrooms with kingsize beds, a twin bedroom and a bedroom with bunk beds. There are 2 bathrooms (one with a shower-bath [not a walk-in shower] and one with a bath) and a cloakroom with a further toilet and basin.
There is also a large playroom/second sitting room with two sofas and lots of space to play and with a door to the rear garden. There are books and games for all ages at the house for you to use.
There are wonderful walks from the door but it's a great base too for exploring the Suffolk Heritage coast and East Anglia (near-by attractions include the Sutton Hoo ship burial, Minsmere bird reserve, Framlingham castle and Orford Ness & castle).
Sea Poppies is a light and spacious with a large secluded sunny garden – a great place for getting together with family or friends, or for just chilling out. It's in an excellent but quiet central position in this delightful, quirky seaside village, just a very short stroll from the beach, pretty boating lake, cafés & pub – a perfect base for enjoying the coast.
