Nice home with a beautiful view of the lake. Big table on the patio where enjoyed eating and playing games. Great communication. We had a fabulous time!
The perfect setting for friends weekend! Many of us said we want to bring our families! The covered patio and docks were great!!! The inside was fabulous space for gathering as well. We didn’t even turn to tv on the whole weekend! Well equipped kitchen, linens, fans, outdoor furniture. Hosts were great with communication!
Very pleasant stay; our host had everything ready and lined out ahead of time. Property was as described, clean and perfect for our weekend getaway! It's close to everything in Hot Springs, but far enough away as well, situated on the lake with a nice view and relaxing atmosphere.
The home was roomy and perfect size for our group of 7 adults 2 children. It was very clean and it is a beautiful spot on the lake. We loved it and will be back
We were on a great part of the lake and convenient to most things we wanted to do/see. The house was nice and worked out perfect for two families with small kids.

We are so glad you enjoyed the property, and we were happy to help with any and all questions (no matter how big or small) during your stay. Looking forward to having you vacation with us in the future!
House was good, met up with friend from college snd had plenty of space for our two families. Communication with Rachel was great prior to and during the stay and she was able to accommodate a couple last minute requests from us, which were greatly appreciated.
What a great find! We would certainly stay here again. Great location and great home. The family room was large enough for 12 or more. The home was clean and more than met the needs for our family reunion weekend. There is plenty of parking!

We were happy to host your family, and it's great to hear the property met your vacation needs. We are looking forward to hosting you again sometime in the future!
We had a good stay at this home. Any issues we had were quickly resolved by the owner. The inside of the home is nicer than the outside of it. The outside wasn’t bad, just dated and could use a little TLC. The location was convenient and being on the lake was great!
Great little house on the lake, It was as described, and lovely for the few days we were there. The yard guys came super early the day we were leaving but no biggie.

Glad you had a great vacation! Thanks for staying at our property!
The house had a great view over the lake. It was super clean and cozy and had everything we needed. We were able to park several cars and a truck and trailer in the driveway. It was a little tricky to find the driveway, but the owner sent very detailed instructions and we found it right away!
This property was cozy, quiet and relaxing. Overall a great place. The path to the dock was much steeper than it looked. The listing might consider updating the path.
We enjoyed our girls getaway here with lake access and a very spacious kitchen! We brought our own pool floats and had a lot of fun down on the water. The amenities were a little sparse compared to other VRBOs we've stayed at (e.g. no soaps in the showers), but the beds and furniture were comfortable and inviting. Rachel was kind and helpful and the lake view was lovely! We are pleased with our stay.
Very nice location and the house was good. Missed the ice maker and had to purchase an HDMI cord to watch the TV. Unnecessary expenses. Kitchen/lv areas comfortable and large. Kitchen well stocked. Great lake view and lovely decks, patios.

Hi Tammy - so glad you had a great time! I am sorry you thought you needed to purchase an HDMI core to watch TV. That is for sure not the case. We had Chromecast during your stay in which you just case from your phone or tablet or computer to the tv wirelessly. The instructions were in the book there and I would have helped had we known you were having issues. We did just change those out to have Google TV with Chromecast so now there will be apps already there to use or you can cast as well. Sorry for the confusion you experienced!

Make sure we had everything that we needed. Make sure that our state was comfortable. It was amazing. I loved it. I’ll recommend it to anybody is a wonderful place to stay
Want to come back in the warmth and enjoy the lake!
Owners were very communicative and helpful before and during our stay. We extended our stay by an extra night because we were having so much fun. The weather was cold and windy but we were still able to enjoy the porch some (thanks for having blankets to cuddle under) and the kids tried fishing a bit. We enjoyed diamond and crystal mining, both about an hour away, and many fun things in Hot Springs. The house was perfect for our family with three kids plus my parents. The two living areas allowed us to spread out and be together as we wished. Definitely recommend staying here!

Fun Family Getaway
We had a wonderful time over spring break. Kids enjoyed fishing and exploring the area around the house. We enjoyed grilling out and taking in all the beauty around us. We had 8 people in our party (4 adults and 4 kids). We had space for everyone and never felt like we were on top of each other. Everything we needed for cooking was readily available. The area is peaceful and beautiful, which made for nice family walks. Lake Hamilton and Hot Springs has always been a favorite of ours, and the house made it even more special. Thanks for a trip full of wonderful memories.

We are glad you had an enjoyable vacation and hope to host you again in the future!
Comfortable beds with nice linens, well-stocked kitchen, nice view & sunsets. However, there’s a long slope down to the water with 76 stairs and another 30 feet of stepping stones. The slope near the lake has a lot of broken brick that is a terrible hazard for children. There is no beach area and deep water off the very small dock. The house is old with lots of cracks in the walls, no bathroom vents and musty smells. AC vents, ceiling fans were very dirty and the stovetop needs a good cleaning. There were dead bugs stuck to a greasy light above the stove. Owner needs a better cleaning service.

I am sorry you didn't feel the house was appropriate for small kids or older people. We ourselves use the home periodically with our older parents, and have been doing so since our school age children were infants/toddlers. It is a fair walk down to the lake, as is the case for many of the homes on the Main Channel. We do not advertise having a beach or shallow water off of the dock, because again, we are on the main channel and show pictures of exactly what to expect down by the water. I'm sorry you envisioned something entirely different than what was described and shown via pictures.
Had I known there were cleaning issues I would have gotten the cleaning crew back out there. The house is older but has been repainted, updated with contemporary decor, and again, is a place we have come to love and enjoy staying at when it is not rented out. I'm glad that despite all of the things you are complaining about now, you reported back to me that you had a wonderful stay.

Great family get away and beautiful dock for our boat
We spent 5 nights in July at this property with extended family and it did not disappoint. It is an older home but has been updated inside and is on a beautiful piece of property with a nice covered boat dock. Additionally, the home was extremely clean. Both bathrooms, kitchen, frig etc...were immaculate.
The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, and utensils. There is also a charcoal grill on the back patio. It is an older grill but we used it 4 of the nights we were there with no problem. The furniture was very nice and well kept, the mattresses comfortable, and there were board games, cards, and many DVD's to watch.
We brought our two pups and they loved sitting on the back patio watching the boats go by. It has a railing all the way around with a gate so I could contain them if I needed to. The covered boat dock was perfect for our 23' boat. We found the launch at the fish hatchery to be the closest and it was free to launch. The boardwalk and deck down by the dock was a huge bonus. There was ample room to sit and relax or fish.
I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet getaway with family. We will definitely return in the future.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay! It will be nice to have you, your family, and your dogs vacation with us again.
Also, it's nice to hear the older grill met your needs. Although it is still very functional, we will be replacing it soon with a brand-new Weber charcoal grill. So you can look forward to using a newer grill the next time you visit!
We had a great time at this house and made some sweet memories! But here are a few notes; When we first walked in, we were hit with a musty, old—maybe stale water—smell. Not awful, but definitely noticeable. It was also pretty warm inside when we arrived, so it took a while for the place to cool down and feel comfortable. The house is—50s-60s era—with creaky wood floors and vintage charm with the kitchen and living room connected by a central island that made it a great gathering space. It was clean overall, just dated in places. There were some little oddities—like no sponge or scrubber for dishes, and the TVs were pretty slow to load and use.The host also asked us to roll the trash bins to the road at checkout, which sounded easy until we realized “the main road” was about 100 yards up the road. (Sundays)One thing that gave us pause was the checkout list request to let them know if any comforters needed to be washed. Not sure what that meant exactly, but it made us wonder...The lake/dock are accessible from the property, but you’ll need to go down a hill via some old (1 wobbly) steps, so be careful, especially with kids. The kids loved the bunkbed room, and having a second living space. The view out back is peaceful and beautiful—definitely one of the best parts.Overall, this was one of the more affordable rentals we found, and we were happy with our time there there. There are a few quirks and things to be aware of, but nothing that ruined our trip.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience—we’re truly glad to hear your family made some sweet memories at the house and enjoyed the peaceful views, the bunkbed room, and the cozy layout for gathering.
We also really appreciate the thoughtful and detailed feedback. We apologize for the warm temperature on arrival; we’ll certainly look into ways to better pre-cool the space, especially during warmer months.
As for the checkout note regarding the comforters—we’re so sorry for the confusion! That instruction was part of an older process that we no longer use, and we weren’t aware it was still listed. Thank you for pointing that out—we’ll make sure it’s updated immediately to reflect our current standards, where guests do not need to worry about this.
We also appreciate your other comments as well. We know little details can make a big difference, and your feedback helps us continue improving for future guests.
Thanks again for choosing our home and for treating it with care. We’d love to host you again any time!

Why they chose this property
Located close to our main home, we loved the large yard, covered patio, and breathtaking lake views from both inside the house and down on the lower deck that this property has to offer.
What makes this property unique
The yard leading to the lake is mostly shaded by large trees and the covered patio is perfect for hot and sunny summer days. The deck is uncovered but gets both sun and shade depending on the time of day. There is a fenced in yard near the driveway perfect for kids to play while remaining contained. The floating boat dock is great for boating or fishing in the year-round water provided by the lake's main channel.
