Bad managment, tried to swindle us for 5XX Euro
We stayed here for a few days in March 2022. The apartment is in a great location and is HUGE, but I wouldn't stay here again. From the beginning the management only contacted me off VRBO platform. This place had no reviews, so I was worried. We showed up and the door code did not work. Then the cleaning lady said we had to pay a 5XX Euro cash deposit. We said no way, that wasn't in any VRBO information. She backed off. The door code wasn't fixed, so another lady shows up to let us in while we sat for about an hour. Were given "new" keys, but found most didn't work for the door. Then this new lady demands a 5XX Euro deposit. She gets the manager on the phone and he yells at us. We had everything printed off of VRBO (thank God), and no where did it require 5XX Euro extra. That's a lot of money! He persisted, and was an absolute ass. I finally had to call VRBO and they contacted the manager. Only THEN did he back down, claiming "other platforms require it" or some nonsense. It was 45 minutes of badgering and stress and wondering if we'd be thrown out on the street. After that, I didn't sleep well wondering if this jerk was going to bust into the place and demand money again. The location is incredible, but don't deal with this guy. He emailed (off platform) and asked if the stay went well and for a good review. Not gonna happen. He's a swindler and a con. I told VRBO all of this, but didn't get the impression they cared so I'm sharing this here. Stay in this neighborhood, but not at this apartment.
