Outside there is off-road parking and an enclosed garden with furniture and barbecue. Claerwen is a tranquil break in a lovely part of Mid Wales.

There is a weekly livestock market where you can pick up any essentials, while on the edge of the town lies The Red Kite Feeding Station, where you can see diving birds and observe them in their natural habitat.
