Gillian was very welcoming and always on hand for anything we may need. We had a lovely 5 day stay at hoopers farm, the garden was perfect for our 2 pups lots of room to run about and lovely and secure. The farmhouse is both warm and welcoming and has such lovely charm about it. We really enjoyed our stay it was close to everything we needed and would recommend to others

The farmhouse had everything we needed and feels very relaxing as soon as you walk in.
The farmhouse had everything we needed and feels very relaxing as soon as you walk in. Lots of character, comfortable, large rooms, deep bath, views of the farm at the back and little duck pond at the front. Perfect for dogs, just let them out the back door into the enclosed garden. Also no extra charges for dogs. Pleasure to meet and have a chat with the owner who lives next door who even let us leave a bit later making our departure relaxing too. There’s a shop close by, no noise at all from the road or the ‘pub’ close by which has very limited opening times. Would love to stay there again for longer because there’s lots to explore in the area. Thank you Gillian.

We all had a great time, including the 3 pups! Gillian was a great host and made us feel welcome.
We all had a great time, including the 3 pups! Gillian was a great host and made us feel welcome. We would have given it 5 stars, but the fridge only has a small ice box, which would be problematic for a longer stay and the ice box had not been cleared out after the last guests. It is a bit of a distance to the nearest supermarket, but there are adequate smaller shops nearby.
Unique, cool village, great hostess, highly recommended
A couple hundred years of character perfectly distilled in this property, in a lovely part of the countryside within reach of so many attractions you’ll want to visit. Gillian is such an interesting hostess with roots here.

Absolutely lovely old cottage right in centre of village.
Absolutely lovely old cottage right in centre of village. Owner, Gillian, so wrlcoming and friendly. It suited us and our two Labradors to a T. We sat in the garden in the sunshine until it cast shadows then back indoors to chill out in the little lounge area. Heating was on all the time as temp was between 0 and -6 but we were very comfortable in the little cottage. Bed was so comfortable. Shower fantastic!! Lovely walks around the village. All in all a lovely place to unwind. Gillian did say the garage wasn't ideal for groceries and guided us to nearby shops but we foolishly went to the garage which was very expensive and sadly quality of the items we bought was very poor. So next time it will be the shop in the next village 😊 But we absolutely loved the little old cottage with its nooks and crannies and cosiness
