We had a fabulous weekend stay at this cottage. It has everything you need and was a great winter retreat with roaring fire and outdoor hot tub. The interior is decorated beautifully with lots of quirky touches throughout.
Travelling with smaller children we really appreciated the toy box in the living room!
The kids could get on and play whilst we unpacked and settled in - made a huge difference!
Great place, location and facilities. Would definitely come back again.
Beautiful cottage in a lovely small town. We chose this location to facilitate exploring nearby sites (e.g. Stonehenge). Met several local residents while walking around, all of whom were both friendly and helpful.
Highly recommended for a quiet stay in the country and for a 'home base' for short drives to many sites.
Charming cottage, conveniently situated near Stonehenge and other related sites. It was a great base for us to explore the area. The cottage had all we needed to be comfortable - plenty of space, comfortable beds and well equipped. The village has a great pub (The Plume of Feathers). We were there on a Sunday evening when it is usually shut, but the landlord said he would open the kitchen just for us!! The menu was imaginative and the food absolutely excellent so do recommend patronising this estabishment. Everyone was very welcoming.
Wonderful little cottage. Host was very helpful before and during our stay. Lots of good recommendations for the area. We made use of the hot tub as well as the fireplace. Enjoyed several sites very close by. Great place to launch to see lots of things in the area. Arrange to have the hot tub preheated so we could utilize it both nights. Very enjoyable stay, highly recommend.
The property was nice although we had issues with being able to adjust the shower. Booties were left as there is a no-shoe policy but we weren't comfortable wearing these on narrow painted stairs. The village itself well.

Nice Cottage, but very cold and wet cottage
We left after first night (book 2 nights) due the cottage was very wet and cold, luckly we were able to use the fire wood stove.
We loved the cottage. They communicated very well, it was clean, and had everything we needed. If you are not from this area it was a bit hard to find because the gps was telling me on the other side of the road, and I didn’t know how to make an international call. I after walking into someone else’s backyard they were happy to help me find where the cottage was.
I would highly recommend this stay for anyone. It is very close to Stonehenge, within a few minutes.
Overall such a great property to stay at! Clean and organized, kitchen had everything needed to make a meal. Owner even arranged a flower arrangement for my arrival for my significant other!
Only suggestion would be to gravel the foot path to the gate, as the ground was wet, soft and starting to turn to mud. Also maybe place a light at the gate as we arrived in the evening and was a challenge finding the entrance.
We had a mini family reunion with our niece and had a wonderful three-night stay. The kitchen has plenty of tea and spices for cooking. We pleasantly used the fireplace and napped while watching Downton Abbey on Netflix. :)
Make sure you visit the pub for excellent beer, the co-op for wonderful wine and prepared foods, and next door visit Billy Baxter for amazing sausages. He isn't open every day, so get there when he is. Try the Shrewton! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. All the best-A, D, and S.

Charming cottage however not good for toddlers
The cottage is lovely, however not well suited to young children. Access is across a footbridge from the high street, which makes unloading quite challenging!
Access to the bedrooms is only for sure footed (not babies nor toddlers, nor elderly, weak or wobbly) people.
With two-year old toddlers in tow, the stairs were quite stressful.. Baby gates would be helpful! .
Also the kitchen, while quite nice and well equipped, was not childproof.

The footbridge is actually suitable and wide enough for road vehicles such as large long wheel based vans, so it is not challenging with respect to the suitability of the bridge - you can reverse over the bridge to unload if you wish to make the trip shorter, however the walk from road side to Willow Cottage via the bridge is about 30 seconds. Nobody has ever described this distance to unload as challenging before. Nobody has to date reported the stairs/kitchen as being a problem for children or elderly, but if guests are concerned then they should check the suitability using the property photos. Safe onward travels. Best, Jonathan.

Lovely cottage in good location for us as we having a weeks cycle. On first impressions cottage was what we expected,v well stocked with cleaning products & a v impressive food store cupboard. Great laundry room. However what did let it down for us was the maintenance, peeling paint in main entrance, skirting boards really really scuffed, bathroom window does not open so overtime you can see all the water marks running down the walls, not what you want to see & it could be easily remedied. Maybe a decent size mirror in both bedrooms and a washing line would be useful instead of taking washing out of washed straight into dryer.
Overall a great cottage in a good peaceful location.
