This large, well-appointed three-bedroom family home makes the most of its location with spectacular views overlooking the loch, the hills and views over to the Isle of Skye and Knoydart. The real hub of this superb family home is the living room, complete with an open fire that provides a wonderful focal point. The room also includes a television and a selection of books and games to enjoy on the days when the weather is changeable. The kitchen/dining area comes fully equipped with everything you’d need for a comfortable stay; with a dining table situated next to the window to enjoy the views with your meals or whilst socialising with your nearest and dearest. There is an excellent utility room leading off the kitchen with washing and drying facilities, with a back door to the fenced-off small garden round the house which is a grea area for toddlers. Downstairs is a twin bedroom, with a further twin bedroom on the first floor alongside a double bedroom and toilet. The bathroom, on the ground floor, has a lovely big old- fashioned bath and a separate shower unit, which is electrically heated, and toilet.
Grieves Cottage is located just outside a small Highland village called Arnisdale. Locally there is an old-fashioned shop, which stocks nearly everything, there is also a pub/inn at Glenelg 10 miles away. There is a ferry to Skye which runs from Kylerea near Glenelg during the summer months, and there are plenty popular tourist destinations nearby including the spectacular Eilean Donan Castle. There are brilliant coastal and hill walks, with a "Munro" directly behind the village. Hill loch fishing may be available by arrangement with the estate. Wildlife is abundant, with a whole host of birds (golden eagles, gannets, divers and guillemots), animals (red and roe deer) and mammals (dolphins and porpoises, otters and seals) in the area. Guests staying at Greives Cottage will appreciate the warm and welcoming ambience of this holiday house, and its breath-taking location; making it an excellent base for exploring this enchanting part of Scotland.
